Come on Luke. You think to yourself as you tap on the steering wheel and let your music play just a little over background music. You've been here for at least ten minutes and he knew you were there cause you saw him peek out of his bedroom window then disappear. You debate calling him till he comes out the front door and jogs down to your car, lacking his bag. What now?
"What's up?" You ask as he swings the door open and leans in to give you a sheepish smile, the cold air hitting your bare skin due to the lack of jacket and the fact that you only have a tank top on.
"Uhh..." He bites his lip, playing with his lip ring you love so much as he looks at you nervously.
"What is it lukey?" You coo, lightly tracing the curve of his jaw with your fingertips as he closes his eyes and sighs in content, mouth falling open slightly. His eyes snap open as you remove your hand and lean back against the car door as he sighs.
"I'm not allowed to go till you come meet my parents." He says nervously.
"And you're scared because I'm covered in tattoos?" You pout and him and he bites his lip again, rolling his eyes at your behaviour.
"Well yeah but you don't have to come in if you don't want I mean I don't have to go to your place this weekend and-" you shove your hand over his mouth and his tongue darts out to poke your palm as his lips curve into a smile when you wipe it against you jeans in distaste.
"Let's go." You grab your jacket and pull it on, both to keep the cold off and cover your tattoos. I mean, it's not like you were completely covered in them, Luke was just a very different person to you and even your scattered tattoos were against everything for him, despite how much he loved tracing them with his fingers when you were just lying together, it wasn't a good look in front of his family.
He takes your hand as he pushes open the door and you're greeted by three unfamiliar faces and one awfully too familiar one. The guy from the bar, Jack, was looking at you in shock as you partially hid behind Luke.
"Oh Jack I don't know what you're talking about she's adorable! I'm Liz!" The lady you assume is his mum shakes your hand enthusiastically and smiles at Luke happily. His dad shakes your hand but says very little before taking his seat. The boys eye you suspiciously and you blush against their scrutiny.
"Take your jacket off Y/N." Jack demands and you look at him in shock. Luke gives him a hard glare and his mum frowns.
"You know her Jack?" His mum asks and you press your lips into a thin line as he looks at you.
"Yeah. She's the girl I told you about from work? The one that always does the crazy stuff?" He chuckles and you can feel the blood drain from your face as he demands you take your jacket off again. As all eyes watch you, you unzip and slide off your jacket, letting your tattoos be revealed. You know exactly where each one is and they all feel like they're on fire as Luke's family stares at you.
The lyrics on your left shoulder, the pattern wrapped around your left arm just under your elbow, the bird on your left wrist - tiny and flawless, the paw prints scattered down your right wrist, the heart on your thumb, the penguin on the side of your neck/shoulder towards the back - Luke's favourite to touch and do certain other things to..., a quote on the inside of your upper arm that is barely visible and so many more, those being the main ones they can see.
"Luke-"
"No mum, none of this means anything, whatever you say has no affect on me!" Luke cuts her off, pulling you close to him in protection. You're ashamed that you made Luke do this.
"Luke." His dad says sternly and you pry Luke's arms from you.
"Y/N...?" He mumbles as you struggle from his arms, tears spilling onto your cheeks.
"No Luke I shouldn't, this is bad, I'm not right for you Luke please." You beg, trying to get away from him. He finally lets you go and you run for the door as he begins yelling at someone. You know he's following but you get to your car before he can stop you and lock the doors, his brother grabs him at the door and a heated argument starts up between them as you quickly start the car and drive away, going back to your place. You wipe your eyes as you drive so that you can see where you're going and by the time you get home, you're about ready to burst with emotion as it softly begins to rain again. You barely make it to the door when it's starts really raining and you sigh as you slip inside and let the tears flow free as you slump to the floor.
You sob for a long while just on the ground at the door before hiccuping your way to the living room and falling onto the couch, continuing to cry. You shouldn't have gone in that house, you should have told Luke to just stay home for the weekend because you're not going to see him anyway now. Or ever again for that matter. You sigh and cough a little as you dry up, there's really nothing left in you anymore.
You stumble tiredly to the kitchen and fill a glass with water, looking for food as you take small sips from it. You decide to just order pizza because that was your plan with Luke anyway. You put your phone into your speakers and set it to blasting, not caring about your neighbours who gave up on complaining a long time ago, well, just one couple, the rest were actually kinda okay with your music. As you slowly danced around the house your favourite song came on and you smiled as you thought of how much this song annoyed Luke when you played it.
"So if you wanna piss of your parents,
Date me to scare them,
Show them your all grown up.
If long hair and tattoos are what attract you
Then baby you're in luck.
And I know it's just a faze,
You're not in love with me." A knock at the door cuts off your singing and you turn it down slightly and you grab your money for your pizza.
"I hate this song." He laughs as you open the door and look at him in shock.
"This is he most cliche thing that has ever happened to me in my life." You say in awe as he stands at your door, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Oh but wait I get even more cheesy and cliche." He grins as he holds out flowers and your pizza to you. "Lucky I caught him before he got to the door. Cheesy, get it? Cause there's cheese on the pizza...?" He tilts his head in a cute little way as you laugh at him and pull him inside, only now realising that it's still raining and he's soaked.
"Baby..." You sigh and he shrugs sheepishly as you help him out of his jacket. "Did you walk all the way here?"
"Well I had to get flowers but yeah pretty much." He shrugs as he kicks off his shoes and peels off his shirt that is stuck to him, socks quickly following. You take both his jacket and shirt and carry them to your dryer as he follows.
"You're an idiot." You roll your eyes and he nods, agreeing with you as he continues to follow.
"You've been crying." He notes as you unbutton his jeans and unzip them, sliding them partially down his legs, watching him struggle the rest of the way out of them.
"Not really." You shrug again as he gives you a dry look, he knows you're lying but doesn't say anything as you walk to your room and find him some clothes.
"I can just stay naked." He says from the door and you look at him only to quickly turn away from his naked body at you door.
"Put clothes on you little shithead." You giggle as you toss him a pair of his sweats and he laughs at your childish covering of your face as he pulls them on. His still damp arms wrap around you and you bury your face in his chest and he mumbles sweet nothings into your hair.
"I really hate that song." He adds under his breath as the song ends and you giggle as he pulls away from you, the next song being one you both love.
"You're my Jasey Rae." He mumbles as he slowly dances with you in your room, his bare chest pressed solidly against your clothed one.
"I'm what?" You stop moving and look up to him.
"I'm sorry. For making you do that, for not sticking up for you, for everything bad I ever did, for judging you for so long, for not treating you as right as I should." He sighs. "I don't deserve you." He whispers the words and they hit you like a brick wall.
"Luke Robert Hemmings are you fucking kidding me?!" You say angrily and he gives you a pained look.
"It's just that-"
"No actually it's just that you're and idiot and I'm the one who doesn't deserve you. I don't deserve someone to give me another chance and forget about my past and not treating you right. I shouldn't have run out like I did it wa-"
His lips smash as against yours and you savour the feel of his warm lips and the contrast of the cold lip ring as his hands grab your waist and pull you tight against his body.
"Shut the fuck up." He mumbles against your lips before he moves his mouth down to your neck, leaving open mouthed kisses down to his favourite place on your neck where it meets your shoulder and his inspired penguin tattoo lays.
"You shut the fuck up." You retort as you lace your fingers in his hair and give it a light tug, emitting a deep-chested moan from him, the sound vibrating against your neck.
"How about we both shut the fuck up." He breathes as his lips meet yours again and pull you down onto the bed, a sprawled out mess. The kiss heats up between you and soon all is forgotten as Luke takes over your senses and makes you forget about the whole world.
As only he can.
