I wiped my sweat off my forehead as I finished folding the last blanket.

"Why are these covers so damn heavy?", I exclaimed throwing it in the basket.

"They are used for the castle's royal guest rooms so they must be the best quality there is," chuckled Mary. "Besides, you didn't have to help me do my chores, Miss Eira."

"I know, but this is better than Darma forcing ethics of the royalty on me," I groaned remembering her harsh lessons. "I need to start planning for my future anyways. I'm not planning on staying here forever."

Mary gave me a stern look as we walked down the hallway with the heavy baskets.

"And miss the chance to gaze at the dreamy future king? No thanks", she said daydreaming about Nolan. I rolled my eyes irritated. Everyone here fantasizes about Nolan one way or another.

"Well, one less person here will help you get a better view of him. I need to go to school so I can get a degree to survive the harsh human world", I whined making my puppy eyes to Mary.

"After what happened to you? I don't think you'd be allowed anytime soon. Don't worry though. Darma made sure to transfer your classes for the last month of high school online. She also registered you to a college online; you get to decide when you start", she smiled.

I nodded understanding. That took a massive weight off my shoulders. I need to get a degree as fast as I can to pay back Nolan for everything he's done for me.

"How was meeting the master again? Is he overtaken by your beauty? Flustered by your developed assets?", Mary nudge me.

"What do you mean? I haven't seen him yet," I whispered as a heat kissed my ears.

"Is that so? I'd assume since he requested your bedroom to be made more mature. Maybe one of his helpers clarified your age with him then", she laughed.

"Yeah Maybe..."

"Oh well how about we explore the palace today?! You've never been here, so I'm sure everything is new to you."

"I can't; I promised to meet Nan again after I was done with you. I'm sorry. Maybe later tonight?", I asked.

"Yes, that is perfectly fine! Now go before Madam Darma adds ten more lessons for you to learn next time."

"Now on to the next lesson. Never place your elbows on a dining table", Darma read off a book.

"Argh," I groaned placing my head in my palm. Nan noticed and smacked me with the ruler.

"You're doing it right now meaning you have failed even after I have told you not to!"

"But Nan. I don't see a point of me learning all these fancy royal vampire manners. It's not like I'm meeting any of these snob-I mean elegant vampires", I coughed out awkwardly.

Darma smiled understanding my frustrations. She closed the book and sat next to me.

"Well, you're part of the Clemonte's household which makes you responsible for attending the master's Coronation." She sighed.

"It was very hard for him since he was the youngest scoin. When he was announced as the crowned scoin, many rose up against him doing everything they could to push him off the crown."
