The Last Moonstone **hiatus**

chapter 16

Sita

I looked around the musty smelling room that had two filthy queen sized bed, a old fat tv with the remote chained to it, for whatever reason, the walls on the pain were peeling and the carpet looked like it used to be white but got stained so much it was now a dirty brown color. Samuel looked just as disgusted as I was, but Kai and Luke didn't seem to care. Probably because they would be leaving tonight.

When we got here Kai had told me this is where she would leave. Informed me to stay in Colorado for about a week and then head north on foot. Unless I absolutely had to get a bus or something. She told me to never lose the silver chain her mother gave me, and to keep my guard up always but to also always trust my gut.

She also repeatedly apologised for not telling me we would split up, and that she promised one day I'd see her again. I was upset, she was really my only friend besides my father but I had to leave him behind.

Kai and Luke were talking about what she had to do and where she had to go, and he was arguing about her letting him come with. He didn't seem like a bad guy but obviously didn't care about Samuel or myself.

Samuel as always was silent and watching, only speaking his mind when he wanted, and I myself just sat on floor, it seemed cleaner then the beds, and played with my silver chain. I still couldn't believe I was the Alpha of Moonstone. I used to have very little interest in the pack I came from, or more specifically my biological parents, but now I wondered....

Samuel told me the survival of Moonstone falls onto my shoulders, but how can someone like me save an entire wolf pack. How can I lead, when I can't even walk up the stairs without tripping over a step?

This is unbelievable. Why am I the Alpha? I don't mean to complain but...i dont believe I have the skills to save and lead a pack. I don't even know where the lost members are...

Cinder, our mate found you, which means he can find the other members too.

My Wolf's soft voice spoke to me in a calming tone.

'Dont call me Cinder. My name is Sita..' I reminded her 'but you do have a point. How do I even start tho, how am I gonna hide with an entire pack behind me?'

She didn't reply after that, meaning she was just as lost as me. Sure I had help on this, but that still doesn't help me to know how I'm supposed to do this. Or how I should start.

A part of me just wants to stick to my original plan and hide, but there are to many cons for that. For one all the lost members blood would be on my hands, for two I would never be able to return to any society, for three I'd never have a life, if have to hide in fear till I died. So what other choice do I have then to fight back and revive Moonstone? At least this way I have a chance....right?

The four eventually went out to eat at a cheap restaurant, they were silent as usual. Samuel was watching his mate the entire time. Observing her. His wolf wanted to claim her already, but Samuel could sense her unease about not only the situation, but also himself. She didn't trust him yet, and he wasn't about to rush her into anymore sudden new things. She already had a lot on her plate.

He would however admire her, she was truly beautiful, and he was curious of so many things about her, and excited to teach her.

Kai and Luke argued over dinner, luke wanted to go with her but Kai kept refusing. However she eventually gave in as he said he would come with wether she liked it or not. The vampire was very protective of the half breed and would watch her back.

Kai didn't know entirely what she was in for on her journey, but she had clues from her mother and was gratfule for that. Shed be lying if she said ahe wasn't scared. She knew what Sita would go through but not what she herself would.

Miles away back in the small town Sita lived in, Xander was still healing from his wounds, but he'd also taken it upon himself to visit Kai's mother, the woman knew a lot of magical things, some of witch Xander could learn to do. He may be human but even humans have the ability to tap into magic. She agreed to teach him, even told him, that he played a part still in Sita's path....

Back at the motel I said goodbye to Sita, wishing her and Samuel good luck. She wished the same for Luke and I before we left out to the car. It was getting late and I would shift again tonight but it won't hurt as much so we won't have to stop.

Luke got into the drivers seat and I got into the back for the space when I would shift. Rembering how my first shift went I bit my lip. Luke saw me naked. And he was there to comfort me. I was gratfule but kinda embarrassed. I stole a blanket from the motel so this time I can cover myself. When like began to drive I got undressed underneath the blanket.

We drove for about an hour before I felt the burning pain that I would always feel once I shift. A managed to not scream this time and only whimpered until finally I was done. I perked up and looked around. The sweet smell from Luke was back, and made me want to be close to him. So I jumped to the front seat and promptly snuggled him.

"Shit, kai?! I'm trying to drive you goofy fuzz."

I pulled my lips back in a snarl as a way to smile and he just shook his head and ran his hand through my fur as and drove with the other.

Yay another chapter done~ Kai will have her separate book and will no longer continue in this one. However Xander is back! The loving father of Sita~
