I awake to my annoying brother... Caleb. He's a nerd when it comes to school. "Come on bea your going to be late for school!" I frown at the name Beatrice it just doesn't fit me anymore. This year I'm going to a new school in Chicago called dauntless high. My father Andrew Prior got a new job offer so my mom brother and I moved from Georgia.
"Bea get up or I'm leaving with out you!" "Just go with out me!".. " I'm your only ride!". Ugh I forgot I don't get my drivers license until I turn 17 which is next month!
I struggle to get up, but I manage to. I start with picking out my outfit it is black skinny jeans with a tank top and a leather jacket. I look in the mirror at myself, I'm certainly not beautiful.. I apply simple makeup like mascara and lipgloss and then brush out my long hair and leave it down I put on my necklace that my bestfriend Toby got for me when I was about 6. I miss him so much, one day he was just gone my father said that they moved. Memories flow into my mind of him. I would kill to see him again.
I go down stairs to meet my parents making breakfast.. "Beatrice make friends today and have a great day at school" my parents said. There always so positive. I grab a muffin and I'm out the door heading my to new school. My brother and I hop in the car and he drives to school.
When we get there I'm amazed by how big the school is. The school is separated by 5 sections. One for the dauntless- the brave. Abnegation- the selflessness. Erudite- the Intelligent. Candor- the truthful and Amity- the peaceful ones.. A little to happy for me.
My test results showed that I was this thing called divergent I got Abnegation Dauntless and Erudite. I'm not sure but my gut tells me to go with dauntless. And I do. I'm glad I didn't choose Erudite.. Then I would have to be with my brother and all the smart geeky people. And Abnegation is to plain for me.
I walk into dauntless and go to the front desk I get my schedule and go to my locker I am greeted by a pretty tall girl with dark skin. "Hi I'm Christina, you must be the new girl" "my name is tris" i didn't mean to say tris but it just came out, I can be remade here. "Let me see your schedule"

4 language arts- Mr Chang
5 science- Miss Joanna
6 Gym- Mr Amar
" I can show you around! I have everything but advance math" were walking down the hall when Christina waves to a group of people. "Hey guys this is tris she's new here. Tris this is Shauna, Marlene, Lynn, Zeke, Uriah and Four" I wave and say hello.. But my eyes linger on four for a while, he looks so familiar.
