My eyes shifted towards Everett sitting across from me. "So what now?" I state playin with my fingers.

"We have to ask each other questions," Everett bluntly says opening his notebook.

"Okay," I scrunched my face and grabbed the sheet. "What's your problem with me?"

"You are a bitch," He glances up at me and stared at my face. "What's your problem with me?"

"You are a dick and stole my brother from me," I check off the first question and glanced to the next one. "What should I change about me?"

"Everything," He monotoned making me grip the pencil. "What about me?"

"Everything also," I did a thin-lipped smile and checked that question off. This continued for an hour and we were giving each other a hard time.

"I think we are done," I pass the paper over and grabbed my stuff. His eyes followed me around and I lifted my bag onto my shoulder. "Alright, see you around." I winked and pointed at him. Everett glared at me and I did an awkward smile. I walked up the steps of the cafeteria and slipped on my hoodie. I took my basic way out and walked to my car. I unlocked my car, got in and sat in it for a moment before deciding on a playlist to play. The car played the melancholy sound of Gaps in the Clouds by Yellow Days. I begin to sing along while buckling myself in then after that I drove myself home.

I woke up from my nap and glanced at the alarm clock flashing: 7:03 PM. I heard voices from downstairs yelling about a game and I realized the voices of my brother's friends. I slipped on my slippers and stood from my bed. My door creaked open which made me look from side to side and heard the guys shouting. I stepped out my room then made my way down the steps to see the boys yelling at the TV. I walk to the kitchen and grab a slice of pizza. I walk out of the kitchen munching on my pizza looking for a spot to sit then sat next to Nash. He smiled at me and I smiled back causing Everett to roll his eyes at a distance.

My brother barely batted an eye at my presence and began talking to Everett about how hot a chick was.

"I like that hoodie, where did you get it?" Nash says playing with one of my strings.

"It's my ex's," I whispered hoping to get off the topic of him.

"Oh...who was your ex?" Nash asks taking a sip from his water cup. This caught all of the boys attention. My brother didn't even know I had a boyfriend that's how unattached we are.

"Tayvion Martin. We dated for 2 years but we broke up a couple months ago," I shifted uncomfortably and pulled out my phone.

"Tayvion Martin? Why did you break up? I heard he's a good guy," Nash says with a smile.

I shook my head, "Can we drop it?"

"Just tell me why you broke up." Nash pleads making me shake my head more.

"She was a bitch. That's most likely why." Everett chimes in making my stare harden on him.

"He was abusive." I growled at Everett which made his stare soften.

"I am-I am so sorry." Everett apologizes and I ignored him. The room filled with an uncomfortable silence.

"Abusive?" My brother repeated softly.

Flashbacks began to flood my memory immediately tears began to flood my eyes, "Drop it." I stated wiping my eyes before they saw. The tension of the room felt thicker than it did before. They were all giving me looks of pity and I felt like a weak ass bitch.

"How is dance going?" River asks after the long pause awaited.

"Good. I mean Kinsley still hates me." I turn off my phone and Nash raises his eyebrows.

" I don't think she hates you." Jeremiah says glancing at the tv to watch the game.

"She kicked me in the back of my legs when I was en pointe and I broke my toes. I was out of ballet for 2 months. After those two months I was on demi-pointe and still am." I huffed getting agitated.

"What were you doing?" Jeremiah accuses as if I did something.

"La Esmeralda Variation. Madame Chloé said I was doing really good and I went to the bar to warm up then kick in my knee." I explain while crossing my arms over my chest.

"Oof." Nash mumbles while taking his eyes off of the tv to me. The boys and I continued to have small talk for a while before I heard a voice excusing his self.

"I have to go, my mother wants me home at this time." Everett says while gathering his things.

"Mama Boy, I see." Nash teases and Everett shook his head which caused the others to join.

"Whatever. I'll see you guys at school." He waved us goodbye and left out the door. The other guys stuck around for another hour or so after Everett left. One by one they left as the night carried on; soon I was left beside my brother. The room fell with an awkward tension because we haven't spoken to each other by ourselves for a while.

"So how long were you in the relationship for?" Jeremiah starts trying to cease the awkward tension but it only made it thicker.

"Two years." I say under my breath trying to block out Tayvion's abuse and games he played on me.

"Two years and I never knew he abused you? Are you still a vir-" I cut him off by moving off the couch to the staircase.

"I'll speak to you in the morning, Jeremiah. I love you." I state heading up the stairs.

"Love you too, Naomi." That was the last thing I heard before being engulfed in the darkness of the upstairs. I made my way to my room and opened the door. I glanced down at the hoodie and began crying. The tears didn't stop until the next morning came and even then it didn't ease the pain of the memories escaping my mind. The memories that felt like it was a VHS Tape that never ended and kept playing until it froze by itself never knowing when it will play again. In the next minute, second, hour, day or even a year, it had you waiting. Waiting until the pain wouldn't stop until it froze again.
