You and Papyrus had stayed up until two AM talking to each other before Sans showed back up completely sober. You were both surprised that he had kept his word.
After he got home you all decided to rest for the night. Papyrus and Sans both had work in the morning and you were planning on doing the laundry while they were gone.
You had curled up onto their leather couch with a blanket and you quickly fell asleep against its warmth.
But the next thing you knew was that you were surrounded by the bitter cold. You shivered and zipped up your jacket, you were surrounded by complete white.
It was apparent that you were standing in the middle of a blizzard, the snow on the ground was already getting deep so you ran, trying to locate the skeleton brothers' house.
The wind carried the snow directly at your face so you had to squint your eyes ever so slightly. You ran and ran but it felt like you had just been running in circles. You hadn't made any progress, you were lost in the middle of a snowstorm.
You could freeze to death out here, you shivered and tucked your hands in your pockets. Out of every way to die down here, death by hypothermia would be the worst. You had to find somewhere warm soon or else, hypothermia would set in.
You looked around, you couldn't see anything besides the blinding white snow. You waved your hand in front of your face to make sure you weren't blind and tried to figure out where you are. The issue with that is you can't see any landmarks, whether it is a building or a tree they are blocked from your vision.
You looked down at your shoes, they were covered with snow. Though, something caught your attention. Fresh footprints were in the snow, they were left by someone with a boot. They hadn't been there long enough to be covered by the falling snow so they must be very recent.
You could think of two people who wore boots down here, Papyrus and Undyne. These weren't the footprints of a lady though, they must be Papyrus' tracks.
What was he out here for? Maybe he was trying to find you. You shivered and slowly felt your energy start to drain from your body. You needed to find warmth as soon as possible.
"Papyrus!" You called out to him.
You waited for a few seconds and there was no response. The wind whistled through the trees, causing an eerie sound. You shivered again and folded your arms against your body.
"P-Papyrus? Where am I?" Your teeth chattered as you called out to him yet again.
But there was no reply, maybe he really wasn't out here. You started following the footprints, hoping they would lead you somewhere with heat. The footsteps changed directions and you continued following them until out of the corner of your eye you saw a dark figure running past.
A child's laugh echoed though the air and it made you shiver. It was not the kind of laugh that often brought a smile to your face, it was horrifying. The laugh sounded sinister and ghoulish, not innocent like most children's laughs.
You quickly looked around but nobody was there. You gulped and continued following the footprints through the snow. You trudged through the snow, your footsteps heavy with exhaustion. You shook from the cold and your breaths became ragged.
"You can't catch me, you can't stop me~!" A child giggled from behind you.
Your heart began beating fast as you ran. You didn't want to see who had been following you so, you didn't turn back. You heard giggling as you ran for dear life.
