Ch. 2 Moving up in the World

It was finally time, today was the day where the board of the agency is going to meet with Mr. Yamzuki, CEO of Tokyo Development to partner with my agency and build affordable houses for all the people of lower class, and with my skill and business management, I can make this work and brinf prosperity to both the people and my family. As I stood outside the doors to the company, I was overcome with an extreme nervousness, what if I don't get it? What if he's a sexist or a creep? All these questions, of course it was just me overeacting, I slowly started to open the doors to Tokyo Development and made my way to the board room. It was a little bit unnerving that all of the board members were male and that I was virtually the only female that was even in the company, but I never let it bother me too much I wasn't afraid. Mr Yamazuki sat at the very head of a thirty foot long table, he was a man of about fifty with greying black hair and a weathered face. I've heard he was an extremely honest and honourable man and he always supported his partners anyway he could. "Ahh Mrs. Sakamaki welcome the meeting is just starting." "Thank you sir, it's an honor to be here." The other members of my company's board all sat around me ready to start the negotiations for the partnership. "Now Mrs. Sakamaki, if I'm reading the numbers correctly, your agency has sold a total of 200,000 homes in the last ten years?" "Yes thata right sir, we try to sell affordable and functuonable homes for those who cant afford to live in high rises or bigger houses, we try to do a service for young families and low income families. With your firm supporting us our sales will increase dramatically if we have one of thw biggest corporations supporting us and it will allow us to help out way more families that we could maybe even expand our agency to other countries that are in desperate need for housing." "Your efforts are a testament to your good sprirt miss, and I also understand that you've been a dwvout Catholic your whole life and that you've been a very active donor for the church." "Yes sir, I always try to do my best for the community and to have a idealistic outlook on life." He pondered for a minute before he finally spoke back up. "Mrs. Sakami I also understand that you have a son as well?" "Yes, Jacob he'llbe turning eleven this year." "Well miss, you wont need to worry about his future college expenses, I'll buy into your agency and as an added bonus I'll set you up in one of my penthouse mansions out near the edge of Tokyo free of charge for life." I can't believe it, "oh thank you sir thank you so much!" "Now run along to your family, they've gotta start packing for thw big move." He just gave me this jolly smile as I ran out the boardroom to my car, I had to tell Ayato about this.
