A New Beginning

Ch.1 A New Life

Well, here I am. Beginning to start my new family with the woman of my dreams. It was only a year after our son Jacob was born that we got married and moved out to a small house out in the country with thw inheritance that I got. Yui had taken a job as a sales rep and completed her masters in business, she's even thinking of starting her own housing agency. I got a job as a gym teacher for the school that Jacob's goin to and even started coaching the basketball team there. Jacob even signed on and has been showing some real talent, just like his old man. I occasionally get visits from my brothers and their girlfriends, and so far we've been getting along fairly well compared to what it was. I even hear that Laito and Shu may be proposing to theirs very soon.
Jacob is coming along really well in school, top of his class, captain of the basketball team, and even class president four years straight. I just want to give him a better childhood than anything that I ever had and make sure that he gets the chance to be a kid. I also wanna try to be a good dad, but since I've only ever had my own father as an example and my own mother was a heartless skank my confidence isn't very high, but I try my best with what I have.
"Jacob time to come down, gotta get up for school today." But occasionally, he can be a lot like me where he always rebels against the man and tries to be as lazy as possible. I soon heard his muffled voice calling from his room upstairs, "daaad I don't go in till 8 why am I getting up at 6:45?" Sometimes this kid can be such a pain in the ass, but he's my pain. "Because I don't want you to be late and I'm your father so you'll do what I tell you." "Fine fine dad I'm coming" "that's better". I know that Yui normally would be the one to make breakfast in the morning, but she had an urgent meeting with the board that was funding her agency, something about a new client who might be willing to partner. Of course my meager cooking skills summed up to some gross looking oatmeal, some slightly burned eggs, and some singed toast. "Wow dad you sure are a great cook where'd you learn to burn it all so good", "very funny smartass, you know your mothers away at a meeting so you'll have to settle with my excellent skills for today." "Oh joy I'll be sure to tell my teacher why I'll be throwing up today. " "haha, altight now eat up and get dressed you've gotta get to your first day of class on time." "Dad it's the fifth grade, I doubt even the high strung moms will get thier kids in on time." "Well, I'm not like those stuck up bitches and I wanna shove it in theie faces when my kids gonna be valedictorian again." Jacob was easily one of the smartest kids in the school and his wit and grades certainly proved it, straight As and not even a single drop in his grade since kindergarten. "Alright I'll be out the door in a few min, oh hey dad, would it be ok if uncle Laito could come over, I... need some advice". Oh god, he's finally gotten to thw girl stage, I knew this horrible day would come, play it cool Ayato play it cool. "Of course I'll give him a ring while your in class today", "cool thanks dad". I swear this boys gonna be the end of me.
