White, powdery snow covers Mother Earth. Trees stand bare and depressed. Bitter winds rip through the air, tearing at the flesh of the innocent people, while they hurry to reach their various destinations and avoid the cold. Ice freezes over ponds and roads, making it almost deadly to travel. People hide in their houses, cuddled up by the fire, trying to escape the dangers of frostbite. They layer up, swaddled in blankets, desperate to stay warm. Crops and plants wither and die. The winter weather is intense on any, and everyone around.
