I nodded and made my way to our bedroom.

Nathan sat at the keyboard, his fingers brushing against the keys, but they made no noise. It was off. I closed the door behind me, the creaking of it's hinges giving away my presence. He didn't turn to look at me, only hung his head at the electric piano.

“Tell me again how you aren't hooking up with Niall,” he said quietly, venomously.

“I can't take back what you saw, but I can explain why what you saw was happening,” I said knowing if I opened with 'I can explain' would set him off on a rant that would bring me to tears.

He turned slowly in his chair, his gaze hollow and dead with bags under his eyes. I sat on the bed and summarized the chain of events that led up to the kiss from Ty suggesting to get Niall to explain all the way up to the moment I saw him in the doorway. Nathan remained silent and expressionless. I stuttered over some parts and had to go back because I was leaving out some things, but I did manage to get the whole story out. When I had finished, there was a deadly silence between us. He looked down at the floor and then back up at me.

“I swear that's what happened,” I said, giving him a pleading look.

“I believe you,” he stated.

I went wide eyed at his statement. He stood up with a heavy sigh and sat next to me on the bed, taking my hands in his and beginning to stroke the back of my hand,

“You are too important for me to lose... like I said, I trust you,” he started, keeping his eyes on our hands, “if you say that's what happened, then that's what happened...” he nodded.

“Nathan, I...” I was speechless.

“But, that doesn't change the fact that you kissed him on your own free will,” he said before I could think of anything else to say.

“So...where does this put us?” I asked awkwardly.

“I think...we should take some time to...re-examine our relationship,” he said slowly.

“Re-examine? Does that mean we're breaking up?” I asked, not sure what 're-examine our relationship' really meant.

“Does it?” he questioned.

“You brought it up,” I mumbled.

“I don't want to lose you, Tori, you know that,” he sighed, “but, I need some time to think,” he said sadly.

“Time away?” I suggested.

“No, don't leave,” he said quickly, securing his hand around my wrist.

“Not literally...I mean, I think I understand what you're saying...you need more time to think and...space,” I stated.

“That sounds about right” he mumbled

“That's fine...I can...sleep at Ty's and you can just...give me a call whenever...whenever your ready,” I nodded to myself.

I stood up and slowly walked out the room. Everyone looked at me expectantly, as if they were waiting for Nathan to come running out, carrying me on his back like a happy teenage couple on those backgrounds in those romantic quote photos.

“How is everything?” Kelsey asked.

“He needs time to think and more space,” I sighed, sitting next to Tom.

“What are you going to do?” Tom asked, placing his hand on my knee.

“I'll sleep over at Ty's...set things straight with Niall and then finish the season of Strictly,” I sighed, patting Tom's hand.

“Everything's going to be fine, Tori,” Siva said patting my shoulder.

“Everyone keeps saying that and I'm starting to doubt if it's true or not,” I sighed.

For the rest of that morning, I called Ty and asked if I could sleep over a few more days. To keep my mind of Nathan and Niall, Kelsey called Nareesha and we all went shopping. We met Siva and Tom for lunch and then went back home around three. Tom and I just sat around and watched TV. I hated to admit this, but shopping with the girls and then a group lunch actually made me feel a bit better.

Yes, I was sad about Nathan indirectly saying he wanted to break-up, but at the same time didn't...if that even makes sense? But, they made me laugh and smile which took my mind of everything that happened, only for a while though.

“Oi, so we're have a gig tomorrow night, why don't you come...it's been ages since you've gone to any of our concerts,” Tom suggested.

“Really? You really think this is a good time for me to be going to one of your gigs?” I asked.

“It'll be fun, a few drinks, tons of people, good music,” he smirked, “you've been working to much...” he added.

“Sure,” I shrugged.

He kissed my temple happily.

Nathan:

I had been on my laptop, checking Twitter and answering a few questions from fans. Tori had walked in. She walked in, we glanced at each other briefly, before she turned away to the closet and started digging around. Her hair was wet, she'd just taken a shower and was getting ready for the gig tonight. We'd done a sound check a few hours ago and were on voice rest till tonight. She didn't say anything as she took her clothes and walked back out.

I started to get ready about an hour before we had to leave. I took a shower and walked back into my room with only a towel around my waist. Tori stood in front of the dresser applying lip gloss. Damn, she looked extremely fit. Her heels made her legs look even more amazing with that skirt and she smelled amazing: (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=55039507). I then remembered that we were supposed to be given each other space.

“Oh...sorry,” she mumbled, stepping away. “I'll just leave” she said sheepishly.

“Wait,” I said without thinking.

She stopped mid-way through the door.

“You...look nice,” I said slowly.

“Thanks,” she mumbled with a shy smile.

She then left, leaving me to get dressed.

This went on for two weeks. In those two weeks, Tori and I barely said a word to each other, three sentences top. I thought I thought when she was dancing on SCD I barely saw her, but this was outrageous. After I agreed to wanting space, she was barely around the house. The only time she was here was to get clothes or something. I grew sadder every day. It was too quiet in the house and my bedroom gradually became too empty. She'd cleared her perfume, make-up, and hair sprays off the dresser. Her shoes were gone from the closet, her stuff was out of the bathroom, and I only saw one or two tops of hers in the closet. There was no one to make me tea or feed me pizza like I liked. When I was bored I had no one to call because the lads all had their own things and Tori was busy. I began to have writer's block, no inspiration came to me.
