Jonah
"Yeah, we fought." The tall boy heard his friend said.
"About what?" Jonah said in response looking up at the friend, Connor, with his deep green eyes.
"Zach." Connor replied throwing his french fry back down on his school tray.
"You guys are broken up though. Lizzy shouldn't tell you who you can and can't date." Jonah replied, slightly distracted.
His leg bounced up and down as he looked around the cafeteria. All of his friends had the same lunch period and he was worried sick about the outcome of the dare would've been.
He spotted the table that held Zach and Daniel and then the one next to them that Corbyn sat at. "Fuck" he mumbled under his breath and picked up his phone.
"Bro, seriously I'm trying to rant to you." He finally heard connors voice sunk into his ears.
"I'm- Connor can I ask you something?" Jonah said anxiously, Connor becoming worried.
"Of corse, what's wrong?"
"Why did you go along with the date to beat Jack up?"
"Because he's a wuss. It was fun, I don't know why?"
"Because it costed my friendship with him." Jonah sighed and laid his head in his hands.
"Friendship?" Connor said choking on his water.
Jonah nodded and looked up at connor. "Jack is also good friends with Zach."
"You guys deserve better. Jacks a loser-"
"He's not."
"Let me finish Jonah, he's a loser. He's a wannabe 'gay' kid. He shouldn't even be here" connor said and stood up. "If you disagree, I don't think we should be friends anymore." Connor threw out his trash.
Jonah watched as the cafeteria doors opened and saw the fragile looking curly haired boy walk in. He hid his face with the hood of his sweater and tried to lay low.
Connor looked at Jack and then at Jonah. "Watch this." Connor said and pushed jack to the ground, calling him profanities. Everyone in the cafeteria quieted down and watched it happened, no one did anything.
"You deserve to die." Connor yelled and walked out of the lunch room, leaving everyone's eyes on Jack.
Sad thing was, Jack Avery was used to this. He was so use to this that it wasn't anything to him, he could 'handle' it. He looked at Jonah and rolled his eyes, walking out of the cafeteria.
All Jonah wanted to do was curl up into a ball and cry. He felt like he was dying on the inside, he wished he could openly say that he was friends with who he was friends with.
