I left my room, made breakfast, did the laundry, cleaned the house, did the dishes, made lunch, did the dishes, made dinner, did the dishes, went to my room. I left my room, made breakfast, did the laundry, cleaned the house, did the dishes, made lunch, did the dishes, made dinner, did the dishes, went to my room. I left my room, made breakfast, did the laundry, cleaned the house, did the dishes, made lunch, did the dishes, made dinner, did the dishes, went to my room. Again and again. Never stopping. Never sleeping. Never resting. Only eating a slice of bread and a glass of water every couple of days and one toilet break everyday. Fun times... As you can see, I really love my routine... just spiffing...

So... Finally came the time to go shopping... outside the house. This means a chance for freedom... or a distorted version of freedom. I've thought about that a lot! I mean, society in general is just one big lie, designed to make you work. But, I digress. It was a chance for freedom...

I left he house with Yang and Ruby, both accompanying me to the nearest shopping complex. Like the ones you see in films. They both wanted to go to the clothes shop first, but I needed to go the the grocery shop to be back in time. But...

"But (Y/N)! Raven said that girls are all superior to boys, so you have to do what we say! Or else!" Yang shouted at me. It seems they were influenced a bit by their exceedingly powerful aunt... well, for Ruby anyway. It was Yang's mother, so she must have been genetically influenced aswell... good gracious me... how am I going to survive...

Actually, that was an easy question to answer. I wasn't. Plain and simple. I frail bodied 8-year-old child like me was not physically able to survive this. No food or water. Extreme physical exertion for someone my size. And worst of all... no toilet breaks! I was not going to survive this bullsh*t! Impossible! But I digress... again...

So we went to the clothes shop first. They tried all sorts of things on. They made me look and comment on each of the outfits, every time I said that they looked wonderful, or marvellous, or some other twattle I didn't care much for. However, I got a good moment to think, since they took so long... and I, out of nowhere, saw a number, slowly ticking down. One number every second. It was currently at 2380969824 and still reducing by one every second. I wonder what it means...

Then, Ruby waved a hand in front of my eyes.

"Hey! (Y/N)! You there?!" She asked. She sounded slightly concerned, but not very. It was more like mild interest...

"Yes?" I replied.

"You we're spacing out big time!" Said Yang, without a care in the world... damn I hate these two. I had recently heard a word on the news when Qrow was watching it on his scroll. It was the word "misanthropic". It means to have a general distrust or hatred for the human species. I believe that word applies here...

"So! Can we go grocery shopping yet?!" I asked, pretending to be excited about doing so.

"Fine..." said Ruby.

I then dashed off to the shop and did all the shopping in a jiffy. Done and dusted, as they say.

About half an hour passed when we finally left that infernal place. I'm going to hate going back there next week...

On the road I saw a cat that had a crushed paw. It had been slightly run over by a car that hadn't even slowed down. I saw it, almost as if in slow motion. The big lorry speeding down the road towards the cat. The cat looked up in terror, immense pain, and alone... The lorry didn't slow down, before, during, or after. And I was sad. I didn't want that cat to die! Nothing should have to die like that. Especially not alone!

That cat had done nothing wrong! It was fine a few moments ago until it was injured, and even then! Even then, one could have nursed it back to health! That cat should not be dead! It should not be dead! Should not! Will not! I won't allow it!

Then, the cat got up, looked around, slightly disgruntled, and ran away. I was stunned. And, again without meaning to, I saw the number in my mind's eye. It had been reduced significantly. It was now at 2065608013 and was still ticking down, second by second...
