I woke up to the doorbell ringing. I slipped on my sweatshirt of my head. I usually sleep in shorts or yoga pants. Last night I wore shorts. As I made my way out of my room I stopped. I looked of the railing of the second floor and saw Parker Anders and his mom. I tried to sneak back to my room but Skylar already saw me. "Hey Emma, get down here!" I groaned "let me get dressed!"

I went to my closet and and walked around trying to figure out what to wear. I had a mini walk in closet with a mirror in the back of the door. I finally found the perfect outfit. After putting it on I looked in the mirror. I was wearing a pink crop top with a black high waisted skirt. I brushed my hair out and put on a little eyeliner and mascara. I was hot.

After 5 mins of checking my self out I walked downstairs to see everyone in the living room talking.

~Parker's POV~

After yesterday the last thing I wanted to do was be in Emma's house. But when I saw her come down the stairs I couldn't help but stare. The skirt helped show off her legs. It wasn't too short but not to long. And the crop top showed off her stomach. She's lost weight since 7th grade.

"Sorry I took so long" she said as she looked at me. I stopped and turned away feeling like I was going to cry every time it hear her voice. "Oh it's okay sweetie. It's so great to see you again." My mom got up and hugged Emma. "Say hi Parker" she nudged me. "I already have" I replied. "Oh okay than." Everyone started talking about school and how everything was going. By everyone I mean Skylar, Emma and my mom. I just sat there listening to them talk.

"Yeah I've missed everything here." Emma said. I scoffed. Everyone looked at me. "Sorry" I mumbled. "I always wanted to come back for about a month but had no money for it." I rolled my eyes as she said that. "I especially missed Parker. It was hard to leave him" I couldn't help but laugh. Everyone looked at me again.

"Parker!" My mom yelled at me.

"Oh I'm sorry mom. But come on that was complete bullshit!" I yelled. I felt the pain in my eyes.

My mom grabbed my arm but I pulled away.

"I'm so sorry Skylar. I am. And I am sorry mom. But I am not sorry Emma! 'It was hard to leave him' is such a lie because you would've came and said goodbye. But since you didn't it obviously shows you don't care!"

And with that I stood up and stormed to the backyard.

I stopped once I got out the door. I saw the swing set and ran over to it. I sat in the swing and remembered all the memories.

~flashback~

"Let's go swing Parker!" Emma's sweet voice called me while we ran into the back yard. "I call the left!" I screamed. "When don't you?" Emma asked while sitting on the right swing. I laughed. "Em?" I looked at her. "Yeah?" I looked into her eyes. "Forever?" I asked. "Yes forever!" She took my hand and we swung back and forth. "Hey there kiddos! Let me get a picture of you!" Emma's mom, Rachel said. Me and Emma were holding hands and smiling at each other.

~End of flashback~

I was sitting on the left swing like always. I was staring at the picture of us on the phone when Emma sat on the right swing. She was looking at the picture and than noticed I was crying.

~Emma's POV~

"It was the last picture we took together" Parker said. Wiping the tears off my face. "Yeah 3 days before my mom died" I stated. "Yeah.. The last time we laughed.." Parker got up from the swing. "You can't keep running away from me Parker!" I screamed.

"What like you did? No because I'm not stupid enough to leave my best friend behind. Especially if I loved you!" Parker screamed back and then turned to look at the door. He just stood there waiting for me to say something.

What can you say when someone just someone just said they loved you.

"Wait.. You love me?" I said with confusion in my voice. "Yes," he turned to look at me. "well I did, that was before you left and I will never forget it."
