Will to Escape

I stared at the ceiling with tears falling down my face. My wrists hurt from pulling against the cuffs and zip ties. The van came to a stop and the engine was killed. I struggled more against the restraints. There was a muffled voice talking outside. I finally heard a pop. I looked behind me to see the zip tie was broken. The doors opened and two men grabbed my ankles.

"No, get off of me!" I yelled trying to kick them away.

"Shut up Parker!"

They yanked me out and I fell on the ground. I groaned as my head hit on the hard cement. Two people grabbed my arms and lifted me up. My vision was blurred as they began dragging me towards a building. I tried to struggle, but all of my energy was used trying to get the restraints off of me, even though I only got the zip ties off of me.

As they brought me into the building, a hood was placed over my head as they lead me through long corridors. Left, right, right, left, right, right, right, right, left, right, right, left, left, right, left, into an elevator, then another series of left and rights began. Again, I was put into the elevator and yet another series of left and rights before finally coming to a stop. A door opened and I was lead into the room. The cuffs that held my arms  behind my back were released. I tried to rip my arms out of whoever held me. I got them out and ran out of the room, ripping off the hood.

I turned down the ways that I remembered, just opposite, before getting completely lost. My breathing was quick and sharp. My vision was still slightly blurry and unfocused. I had to lean on the walls to stay on my feet.

"Parker has escaped, don't let him leave the building!" A voice came over the intercom.

I had to find a place to hide and fast. I don't know what they want with me or who they're with, but I do know that whatever it is, it's not good.

I went down a hallway that lead to another and another and another. I finally found the elevator, along with voices of a lot of people. I clicked the down button over and over again, begging for it to open. When it finally opened, I stepped inside and clicked the button to close the door. It was almost closed when a hand popped through the doors of the closing elevator. A feeling of dread filled my body. I began gasping for air. My mouth ran dry as the elevator doors opened and a group of guards were standing there.

"No, no please no." I begged, my voice breaking.

They reached for me and I screamed out, begging for them to let me go. They dragged me back to the room that I was at before. They held me down on the chair as I struggled against them. They strapped my arms and legs down at the chair with thick leather straps. My hope dropped every strap they put on and every moment I struggled to get out of these straps. They also put one going across my chest. Once they finished tying me to the chair, most of the guards filed out of the room except one. Three doctors came in. The one guard that stayed in here grabbed a chair and sat in front of me.

"Let me tell you how this is going to go, Parker. We work with CPS, but they don't know that we only agreed with them to bring you in because we want your blood. Why do we want your blood? Because we want to know what makes you so special."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Spider-Man. You're Spider-Man. Don't try to deny it, I've watched you very closely for the last year. I want to know what makes you Spider-Man and why anyone who doesn't get bit by a spider doesn't get your powers. So these lovely nurses are going to take some of your blood every six hours. And during that time, I'm going to have some fun with you. Which to make sure that you don't get all of your strength, these nurses are going to put some carisoprodol, diazepam, oxycodone, phenytoin, and metoprolol succinate in you. What are these drugs you may ask? You can't know. Ladies, have fun." He stood up and walked out.

"Wait, what? What- no! No! You can't! You can't keep me here!" I pulled against the restraints as the nurses held me down, cleaning my arm and sticking a needle in my arm. That needle had a hose leading to a bag of liquid.

"What are you going to do about it Parker? You don't even know where you are and how to get out of this building." He waited for me to respond. When I didn't, he laughed and closed the door.

The nurses stuck another needle in my arm leading to a bag of nothing. They did a few things and the hose filled with blood. A few minutes later, they pulled the needle out of my arm. I already was feeling dizzy. Then they switched on the liquid that held all the drugs.
