I woke up the next morning and saw that there was a mug of hot chocolate on the nightstand. I got to a sitting position and grabbed the mug and sipped it down. It wasn't exactly hot, but it wasn't exactly cold either. It was warm, but delicious. When I finished sipping that down, I swung my legs over the side and walked to the window. I looked out for a few minutes, making sure there was no one to be seen before I crawled down the side of the building. I grabbed a jacket Mr Delmar left for me, some money I found in a small drawer, and a small bag before heading out and I left a small note for Mr Delmar. I pulled the hood over my head and kept my head low as I walked through the streets. I decided to go to a pay phone and call Mr Stark. It took me a few minutes, but I eventually did. I dialed his number and listened as the phone rang a few rings before he answered.

"Hello?" He asked through the phone, his voice sounding strained and tired.

"Mr Stark?"

"Kid? Where are you, I'll come get you-" his voice now sounding more serious and worried.

"It's fine Mr Stark. I just wanted to tell you I was safe and don't worry about me."

"Wait, kid-"

Before he could finish saying what he was saying, I hung up. I sighed and continued walking around town. I went into the local mall and was just strolling around when I heard these two teenagers talking.

"Oh my god, have you heard the rumors that Spider-Man died? I was about to die when I heard that!"

"I know right?! I mean, he hasn't been seen for months! I kinda feel helpless without knowing that he's around. I hope the rumors aren't true that he's dead! Cause that would be so sad!"

I stopped in my tracks. People think Spider Man is dead? No! I went to the nearest fabric shop and bought some red and blue fabric, some black thread, then I went to another store and got a pair of dark goggles. When I got all of that, I went to a rooftop away from where I usually am and started working on my new suit. By now, a lot of the snow has melted and it was now February. So, it was getting warmer and warmer. But it was still freezing.

It was darker now and I was still trying to make the mask. I already used most of the red fabric. I was getting more and more frustrated at it. Then the needle stabbed me in the finger. I yelped out, shaking my hand in pain.

"Looks like you're having a bit of trouble with that, huh?" A voice asked behind me. I froze and slowly turned around.
