Dedication to JulissaStyles02 for the very nice comment on the last chapter!

Hello! I changed my username to: xFadingMemoriesx because I thought it sounded better. Any suggestions on who should play Annabelle? Someone with black curly long hair. And make sure to check out my other book 'The Return of the Secret'

Chapter 2

Rounding the corner of the garden I hear two guards talking to each other. "Prince William has a feeling that Princess Annabelle might run off,” the guard says.

"The Queen also says to not let anyone in or out" the other guard says.

"This is going to be one long night,” the first guard says.

Very carefully I peek my head around the corner to see the two guards stationed near the entrances. My only way out is to go past the entrance and into the woods. It's my only choice.

I bend down and pick up a good size stone. Very carefully I aim it near the bushes.

"What was that?" the first guard asks. I see both of the guards move toward the bushes very quietly. Keeping my eyes on the guards I very quietly move toward the brick wall.

I get to the wall when the guards come back to their stations. Luckily, I'm behind a big oak tree that I can very easily climb over the brick wall and run off into the woods. Afraid that the guards might see me, I stand as still as I can without moving.

I feel a sneeze coming on as I try to hold it in. "Ahh Cho!" I sneeze. Shoot, I didn't hold it in. The guards look around for me but luckily Harry comes to my rescue.

"Have you seen Annabelle?" Harry asks the guards. They shake their heads. "Everyone's looking everywhere around the palace and we can't find her"

"Sir, did you try the horse barn? She does love the horses and might have gotten on one,” the second guard says. In the dim light I can see all three of them having scared expressions on their faces.

"Follow me to the horse barn! We have to get on horses and try to find her!" Harry yells. The guards and Harry run off toward the barn. Now's my one and only chance before they come back.

I boost myself up the tree and start to climb to where I can jump the wall. Very carefully I sit on the wall and throw my bag on the ground. Double-checking that no guards are near, I hop off the wall, grab my bag, and run as fast as I can to the woods.

Sprinting, I jump over broken tree limbs and anything else that gets in my way. I didn't want to and I couldn't stop, for the fear of being caught. My legs get so sore that I eventually have to stop, resting against a tree.

Maybe this was a bad idea, running off. I think to myself. But no, this wasn't a bad idea. I had to run off, I couldn't marry him.

"Come on, Annabelle!" Nicholas yells from his horse.

I squeeze my boots into my horse's sides letting him know that I want him to trot. We catch up to Nicholas as I follow him to a nearby tree. Nicholas jumps off his horse and comes over to me, helping me off my horse.

"Thank you, kind sir,” I tell him with a smile plastered on my face.

Nicholas takes my right hand as our fingers lace together. As we walk hand in hand, I look around at the scenery around us. We were in some kind of a meadow with tress here and there with a creek off to the side.
