Oh Charlie

Weeks went by and Charlie became nicer and dare I even say  flirtatious. 

Charlie POV

I lay on my bed right now it's Saturday

Charlie: George!!  You here?

He yells back and I go to the kitchen,  he had his girlfriend over

Charlie: oh hi Ava

Ava:  hi

Ava is 24 has blonde hair and brown eyes,  she's very sweet and kind, but her jokes are as bad as my brothers love life

Charlie:  I want Hailey to come over,  can we go pick her up?

Ava:  aww is she your girlfriend?

George: he wishes

Charlie: we're still friends

Ava: Oh did I hear a still? *giggles*

Charlie:  yeah you did, I've had a crush on her since forever

Ava:  why don't you tell her?

Charlie: she's having a rough life right now and I don't want her to stress about it, you know.  I care about her and I'll do everything I can to help her.

George: can you believe he's only 13? 

Charlie: hehe learned from the best, plus she give me this feeling.

George: alright let's go
He grabs his car keys and woman  and gets in
We drive for a bit and when we get there I practically jump out to her door.
I knock
I knock harder

George: is she there?!

Charlie: her dads car is here so yeah. There probably busy!

After some time I was going to walk back to the car but the door opened

Charlie:  hi Mr. Bork I was wondering if Hailey and Megan could come over for a little bit

Mr.: Oh.... Why are you here?

Charlie: I want your daughters to come over

Mr.: for what

Charlie:  to relax and hangout
God he's drunk

Mr. Bork: oh okay

Charlie: do you think they could possibly spend the night too?

Me. Bork: okay now that's too much,  you want them to go over or spend the night?  pick one

Charlie: spend the night

Mr.:  alright, here go get them

I run passed him upstairs to knock on there doors

Haileys was open so I knocked and let myself in
She was on the floor clean something red

Charlie: hey what's that?

Hailey: uh!  Nosebleed
She went red

Charlie: oh let me help

Hailey: oh no it's fine

Charlie: ah come oh you gotta put muscle into it

I rolled my sleeves grabbed a cloth and started scrubbing

Charlie:  so I asked your dad if you could spend the night and he said yes so you get to come over

Hailey: oh really, wait what about Megan?  You know I can't leave her

Charlie: I already got it planned out,  she's gonna have a sleepover with my sisters and there friends in there room! So we can hangout

Hailey: that sounds great okay

I pick up the cloth and bucket throwing out the dirty water and putting the things away as they get ready.

We get in the car and head back and we talk all the back.  I carry there things in.

Hailey:  it's been a while since I've been here

Charlie: well your in luck, cuz nothings changed

Hailey: no I guess not
And I wish it truly stayed that way

Charlie: come on!
I grabbed her hand and ran to my room, we talked and had fun and she looks genuinely happy. 

Charlie: okay let's spill everything, do you have a crush?

Hailey:?! I don't know yet, like I'm unsure

Charlie: come on tell me! If you do I'll tell you mine!

Hailey: you have a crush?!

Charlie: yeah and you know her

Hailey: oh i so?,  tell me

Charlie: well okay so I've known her forever, she's beautiful, kind, and just overall is amazing. And well thats......you.😅

Hailey: I...i didn't know that, I feel the same

Charlie: oh thank the Lord.... What does this make us now?

Hailey: I don't know

Charlie: if I asked you out would you say yes?

Hailey:... Yeah

Charlie: well then,  Hailey will you go out with me?

Hailey:...

Charlie: I'll treat you how you should be treated, and I'll never take you for granted either

Hailey:... Yes
Her face was red but mine was way darker,  I could feel it.
I hug her tight and tell her that I'll be there for her when ever forever.
We talk about how we'll take things slowly, but I know Shea keeping something from me and it bugs me

Charlie: is something wrong?

Hailey: huh?  Oh no I'm just getting tired

Charlie: oh well you can sleep, cupcake *winks*

She laughs and lays down, I lay close to her, I know some things wrong but she won't tell me

*whispers*
"I'll protect you,  because I love you"

She's sleeping and I soon follow
Some time goes by and I wake up to her crying softly
I get up and walk over to her quietly

"Hey are you okay? " She jumps and wipes her face quickly

"Yeah, I just miss my mom"
I looked confused,  she hates her,  why would she miss her.
I don't quite understand but I comfort her.

"Hey,  I bet she misses you too.  But be strong "

She turns and looks as if I insulted her

" How can I be strong after all this! "

I hug her even though she was pushing me away

"I don't know how but I know you can.  I'll be by your side, encouraging you all the way"

She stopped pushing me and hugged me
I felt her face on my chest
I stroke her beautiful brown hair

"It's okay, I'll make sure of that"
She we lock our gazes with one another and in the softest voice she said

"Oh Charlie"
