LISA
Waking up at 5:00 am in the morning has been a habit of mine since I was a teenager. Everyday I used that time to clear my head and have my morning jog but now that I’m an adult already I use that time to prepare for work since I’m always a late comer, everywhere I go I am always late even when I was still in high school I even got a warning slip because of my tardiness.
5:30 am as I was done with my stretching exercise my phone rang. Caller ID says Park Chaeyoung my secretary and my best friend she goes by the nickname Rosé since she loves Rose flowers so much.
“Lisa yah Jennie unnie told me that your father is coming today so don’t be late, okay?” Rosé always gives me a heads up if ever there’s something important to do in the office.
“Yeah that’s why I woke up extra early today. Is Jennie unnie not coming to the office?” I asked
“Well, she told me that she’s not going attend the meeting but she will be at her office because she might meet you’re annoying cousin Kim Taehyung.”
Oh yeah how could I even forget.
“Oh is my cousin coming too?”
Wherever my cousin goes his 2 minions are always with him. So I’m not even surprised if I’m going to meet those annoying guys.
“I don’t know, maybe, since he’s going to be the executive vice-president starting today. I guess its going to be discussed in todays meeting.”
“Rosie you’re coming though, right?”
“Of course you silly. I’m your favorite and excellent secretary. You’re one and only so of course I’m coming. Don’t worry just don’t be late. You know your father.” Chaeyoung said warning me.
My father has always been so strict about punctuality. He even gave me a lecture because of my tardiness.
“Gotta hang up now Rosie. I’m going to shower already. Bye. See you later.” I hanged up.
I work as a marketing head of my Parent’s company. We own a clothing line where Jennie unnie is also part since she is our Designer.
6:30 I was done showering. Why is time running so fast by 8:00 I have to be in the office so I have to be more faster. I managed to put on a light make up just to have a presentable face and wore my corporate attire since we have an important meeting.
By 7:00 I’m all set to go out. Checking my watch I still have one hour. Let’s just hope there’s no traffic. I rode in my car and drive may way to the office and thankfully I managed to arrive 7:45.
I hurriedly jabbed my finger to the elevator. I am so screwed. I got not time to go to my office so I pressed 7th floor. The elevator stopped at 5th floor and to my utter surprise there goes the most annoying duo in the planet.
“Yah Jiminie who do have here?” Jungkook in his most annoying voice ever. Ugh.
Jimin just laughed. His annoying laugh where his eyes close.
“YAH! You getting in? I’m in a hurry.” I said since I was getting irritated. At last they rode the elevator with me going to 7th floor I guess they’ll be in the meeting too.
“Its been so long Love. Its so nice to see you. Can I get a hug? Since you know I’m your crush. Would like to give me a hug?” Jungkook annoyingly said.
Ever since he stole my diary in my room and had the time to read it he’s been teasing me since that day.
“Don’t talk to me. I don’t know you.” I said while rolling my eyes. Jimin was just laughing. They will never change. At last we’ve arrived right on time. When the elevator opened I hurriedly got out and ran. As soon as I arrive Rosie hurriedly dragged me.
“I told you to be early you pabo. You’re father is already inside. Let me fix you first.” Rosie was in a panicked state right now.
After she was done I went inside the conference room.
“Exaxtly 8:00 am. What’s your excuse now Lalisa?” My dad said staring right into my eyes that held me frozen. Taehyung my cousin beside him was silently laughing.
“There’s no valid excuse Sir. Its not going to happen again.” I said. I’m not even late for goodness sake. I was here exactly on time. I guess someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Gotta ask mom later.
So we proceeded the meeting, updates in the marketing area and announcing that my cousin will be the executive vice-president. It will be formally announced next week Saturday for his party.
After the meeting my dad signaled me to stay put.
“Taehyung let Jungkook and Jimin come in. As for you young lady what took you so long?” Dad pointed at me and Taehyung told his secretary to get his two minions.
“I’m sorry Dad. But I got here exactly 8. That’s not yet late. You were just too early.” I said while pouting.
“Fix that attitude of yours Lalisa. Soon you and Taehyung will manage this company.”
“I understand. This is the last time. I promise.”
Jungkook and Jimin came in afterwards.
“Good that you all are here now. There’s going to be party this Saturday. We’ll be announcing Taehyung’s position.” My Dad said.
“Ooh we can bring dates right uncle?” Jimin hopefully asked.
My dad laughed and said “Of course you can Jimin. How about you Lisa do you have a date? You can go with Jungkook.”
Jungkook the jerk laughingly said “Uncle has approved of me then? Would you like to be my date?”
I glared at him “Who says I don’t have a date? I’ll gladly bring him this Saturday. Dad if that would be all I’d be taking my leave first since I didn’t get to have my breakfast.”
I stood up and glanced at Jungkook who is staring weirdly at me.
When I went out I visited Jennie and shared what was the meeting all about.
“Unnie you busy?” I peeped through her door.
“Is the meeting done Lili?” Jennie unnie asked.
“Yeah. They’re giving me a headache especially Jungkook he keeps on teasing me.” I said.
Jennie unnie laughed “That boy is so whipped for you.”
“Whipped? That’s impossible unnie. He’s keeps on annoying me. I even need to find a date now.”
“A date? For what?” Jennie unnie asked
“For the party. Tae’s going to invite you as his date anyway.” I said
“Pssh that guy wouldn’t dare. Your cousin is a coward.” She laughingly said.
Just then my phone rang.
“Rosé?”
“Yah! Where are you? Someone’s waiting for you here in the office.”
“Okay I’ll be there. Unnie I have to go.” I said.
When I arrive at my office I saw Taeyong oppa was there and to my surprise Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung was there too.
“Uuh Is there any meeting that I don’t know about? Why are you all here?” I said glaring at the three.
“We were going to ask you something but you seem to have a client here.” Taehyung asked
I faced Taeyong oppa with my smile.
“Oppa what brings you here?”
“Oppa? Ya Lalisa!” Jungkook snorted while glaring at me and Taeyong
“Jungkook-ssi do you have any problem?” I said while glaring at him
Jimin laughed and said “Jungkook-ssi? Yah Jungkook? Did you hear that?”
Jungkook glared at me but didn’t say anything.
“Are you busy Lali? I can just come back later.” Taeyong worriedly asked.
“Lali? Yah Lisa is he your boyfriend?” Taehyung asked me.
I smiled to my cousin the sweetest smile I could muster.
“I don’t think its any of your business cousin. Why don’t you go to Jennie unnie’s office and muster up the courage to ask her to be your date.” That shut him up.
“Guys can we talk later? As you can see I have someone here.” I told the three guys.
“Yah! We came here first. Let him come back later.” Jungkook childishly said while facing Taeyong.
“Oppa I’m sorry but can we talk later. The café that we used to go to we can just talk there.” I said looking at Taeyong apologetically.
“Sure no problem. Later babe.” Lisa smiled at Taeyong.
