Chapter 31
Cher's point of View:
"I'd like for the couch to be in front of the window." I rubbed my chin as I tried to picture the perfect décor for my and Andrea's new room.
"You're so sexy when you get bossy." Jack looked up from the couch and winked at me.
I felt the sudden heat on my skin, but chose to ignore it and pretend that his cocky grin and light green eyes had no effect on me and my quickening pulse. "No flirting on duty." I crossed my arms in an attempt to look somewhat threatening as he threw his head back in deep laughter.
"Shut up before I push you on this damn couch and fuck you so hard you wouldn't be able to walk for days." He threatened and a quiet gasp emitted from my lips. "You'd like that wouldn't you?"
I swallowed hard and shook my head no, my eyes wide at his dirty words.
"Sure you would." He started to walk towards me and no matter how much I tried, I could not find the will power to object. We had so much to do. We couldn't get distracted or else Andrea would murder me. She had already finished her side of the room, and I had barely even started on my side. I found it quit amusing how her side was completely covered with books and movies and Harry Potter posters, while my side was covered with photos of our friends back home and my family. Yah, even Alex was in the pictures. Stupid Alex. He was probably enjoying my old room right now, covering the walls of it with posters of stupid video games.
"I should call my family." I blurted out as soon as his hands wrapped around my waist.
"Right now?"
"Yeah." I looked in his eyes. "I haven’t spoken to them in weeks. They either forgot about me all together, or have given up on keeping in touch with their newly college girl."
He cracked a smile and shook his head. "Who can forget about you?" He whispered before he gently kissed my lips. "I bet your dad would be delighted to know that his daughter's roommate turned out to be her fuck buddy."
What?
"Knock knock." Andrea's voice carried through the suddenly way too small room as she opened the door. Perfect timing. At least she was alone.
"Come on Tori. This is also my dorm and I want you to see it."
Spoke too soon.
"Hey guys." Andrea pulled Victoria through the door by her sleeve. Tori? Since when did anyone call Victoria Tori?
I took a few steps away from a mildly disgusted Jack and turned to look at an extremely uncomfortable and odd looking Victoria. She stood behind Andrea and kept her head low, as if she was too shy or embarrassed to look up at us.
Victoria being shy and embarrassed?
Wearing a pair of simple blue jeans and a Bristol Uni sweater?
"Vic?" Jack nearly choked on his own spit as his wide eyes looked Victoria up and down. She looked like… a normal college student. I had never imagined a day when I would see Victoria wearing something so… unrevealing. No skin was showing. Her stomach was completely out of sight. Her legs were covered with jeans. Jeans? I didn’t even know she knew what long jeans were.
After taking in her appearance and totally un-Victoric behavior, I glanced at Jack who was still eyeing Victoria who was shyly eyeing him back. I suddenly began to panic.
"Victoria, you look…." I began to search for the right word.
"Different." Jack finished my sentence for me while still staring at Victoria. She shyly smiled and mumbled a quiet "thank you" before turning her gaze back to the ground.
