Hours later, after all the farewells were exchanged and many promises to see each other soon were pledged everyone began to leave.
"Call us when you get back alright Mione?" Harry said hugging her. She was going to spend the rest of the day with her parents as she left Darcy in their capable hands.
"Of course Harry."
"Take up Cho's advice won't you?" Ginny whispered in her ear as she hugged her tightly before she and Harry jumped into their car.
Before she left Cho had shouted at her, "Go get some Mione! The Bay is only a few miles!" Mione wanted to run away and hide from the glances she received from her former classmates.
Now in her almost 10-year-old wagon, she looked at her options.
It was really only three miles away from here, she could just stop by and-No! Hermione, you will not! You hardly ever take days off. You haven't seen your parents in ages. Besides, what good would it do her to go and see him? She started her engine and drove off.
"Merlin's Beard!" She thought after she found herself considering it again. When would an opportunity like this come about? "I must be mad." She sighed turning her car around and heading to the Bay. She parked her car in the parking lot and took deep breaths before stepping out. She spotted a trailer with 'Golden Bear Productions' painted on the side and remembered that it was the name of his company. She went up to the young man who looked to be in his mid-twenties, reading what looked like a script.
"I'm looking for Draco Malfoy?" she stated but it came out more like a question
He looked at her and scoffed. "Sorry Hun, he's shooting and is racing against the setting sun, you'll have to come back another time." Mione held her tongue and made her way back to her car, sitting on the bonnet, weighing her options once again. "Should she wait? Ha! He'd probably look at her and say 'Who?' She couldn't face that embarrassment.
She heard the familiar voice before she saw him. Strangely enough, after all this time the low tone was capable of causing her heart to flutter.
"We still have sun above the beach. Let's finish the scene before we pack up tonight."
It was then she saw him. Walking along with the rise of the path from the beach, with people hurrying to keep up with his sharp strides. She was watching him in awe at how the young man she once knew had grown into every woman's dream. his platinum blonde hair, as messy as it was back then, and his almost bare feet, she remembered with a smile how much he disliked the idea of footwear and usually wore the lightest possible footwear allowed.
She decided without a second thought that he had gotten all too handsome for her. As she turned around she heard his deep voice. "Mione? Mione Granger?" and in one swift movement he was running towards her
Her breath caught in her throat. It was impossible, disbelief tumbled through her brain and in seconds he was in front of her clutching her hand as if it were his lifeline.
"Amica mea." He whispered in that same raspy tone that brought back many memories and tugged at her heartstrings. "How long can you stay?"
"An hour or so, I was just going home," Mione replied finding her voice.
"Good." He said.
He didn't ask where home was or where she had come from, he just thanked God that she was here in all her beauty standing in front of him. She looked the same, he thought if not better. Her honey-coloured hair was still touching her shoulders, the natural frizz was softly curled in wisps around her face, just as he remembered it. Those eyes, still bright were looking at him with awe.
