Once school ends I go to the library on the school's 3rd floor because 1. I knew my dad was gonna be late and 2. As soon as the bell rings, every single jock and rude senior rushes out the doors. I wasn't going to get pushed through that crowd.
Once I noticed everything pretty much cleared up, I shoved everything in my worn out bag and slugged it over my shoulder. I reached the the front of the school where my dad would pick me up and sat on the concrete stairs and started my book for English. It was waiting time.
It's been an hour and a half, I've finished 3 homework assignments and my dad still hasn't picked me up. I realized he probably forgot about me so I thought to myself. I should just walk. Our house is only like 30 minutes away. Except you would have to walk 2 highways. I reached down my pockets and found some emergency money I always carry because I knew I would need it someday. I ended up finding a bus station 2 blocks away and took that home.
By the time I was at my house, it was 8:00 p.m. I wasn't so sure about just walking in, so I peeked through the window which you could perfectly see our living room. And hear anything that was going on. I found my parents arguing over something which I had yet to find out
"How could you forget about your only daughter!" My mom shouted at my dad as she stormed into the living room.
"I didn't forget about her! I was busy and got lost in my work. I was interested!" My dad shouted back.
"I don't need your excuses Charles! I found you in your studio watching Sherlock, you were not working!"
"I was studying for a project!"
"You teach photography! What does that have to do with Sherlock!"
"I..."
"Save it Charles! I'm done with you!"
My parents continued to argue over me while I refused to listen to there loud bickering. They don't care about me. Sure it seems like my mom was on my team but she just likes to be right and start arguments. If I ran away, they wouldn't care. They would forget about me like they do the rest of the day. I could run away and forget my stupid life I have to live in. I'm just one big mess up. I walked down to the street and watched to see if anyone was coming.
Once everything was clear, I crossed the street.
And ran.
