Once I finished up getting ready, I swung my black backpack over one shoulder and ran down the stairs. My dad opened to door and unlocked his tiny little messy mini van where I shoved my backpack under the seat and put on my seat belt.

Once we arrived the school, my eyes immediately widened. It. Was. Huge. No way was I going to survive. I pulled my backpack out from under my seat and opened the door and quickly shut it. My dad gave me a wave without even looking at me and I just smiled at him even though I knew he wasn't paying any attention. He slowly drove off. This is it. I didn't know what to do. I heard a faint bell ring so I jogged up the stairs and walked through the wide doors. I glanced at my schedule. Great. I didn't know where any of the classes were. I wish I could ask someone. But then I realize how stupid I am. All the classrooms have labels on the door.

After a long 4 periods it was finally lunchtime. It went pretty smooth. I was all alone until four very nice girls came and sat with me. It turns out I have the same math period with one of them, one of them lives right down the street from my house, and the other two have chemistry and computer science with me.

I guess it's just nice to have someone to depend on to show you around. I mean if I know anything about them they know way more about the school than I do. They have had to be here longer. There was an open house, which if they were new, or anyone was new to the school, it would make sense to attend. Of course, I didn't. I didn't even try. I really regret it now. At least it would make the first five minutes a lot easier. I could of met more people, so if I still didn't know where to go, they could have helped me out instead of me trying to figure things out.

Because as we all know, figuring things out is a quality that I have yet to gain.
