~Sera~
I was sitting in my room looking over my cards, sometimes praying that Noah was alright. Sure, he may have started out horrible, but he saved us in the end. I heard a knock at my door and told the person to come in. It was Seto and I smiled.
"Hey, big brother. What's up?" I asked as he sat on my bed.
"Are you and Moto dating?" He asked bluntly. I blushed.
"Huh?!"
"You and Yugi, are you dating?" he repeated. I frowned.
"I know Yugi has told you about the spirit of the Puzzle, yes?" I asked. He nodded.
"I don't really believe it," he stated. I rolled my eyes.
"Well...technically...I'm dating the spirit of the Puzzle. He goes by the name of Yami. All those times you saw Yugi change...that was Yami," I stated. Seto looked at me, eyes slightly wide.
"So you're dating a dead guy," he replied. I frowned.
"He's not a zombie or a vampire. But in a way, yes, I'm dating a dead guy. He's really kind and makes me happy. As a matter of fact, it's because of him that I have the Millennium Crystal to keep me safe," I told him.
"How so?"
"Because when he was Pharaoh he gave his wife, the Queen, this Millennium Crystal to keep her safe. That Queen was my passed life, Queen Seraphina. Your past life was Priest Seth, her elder twin brother, of course," I smirked. Seto looked at me disbelievingly. I rolled my eyes and grabbed his hand while I concentrated on my Crystal. There stood a younger Seraphina. Seto was standing right next to me watching. She was running to a shack and I followed. It was then I saw the Rainbow Dragon. She ran over smiling before petting the crystal dragon.
"Hello, Lira. I hope you've slept well," Seraphina said.
"Yes, Seraphina. I have slept wonderfully. What of you, young one?" I heard a woman's voice say...it was the dragon?! Seraphina nodded.
"Yes, I have. Thank you for asking. Are you hungry, my friend?" Seraphina asked.
"Famished. Something to eat would be appreciated, thank you," Lira told her. Seraphina grabbed some food and gave it to the Rainbow Dragon.
"I knew I would find you here," I heard. I turned and saw Seth. Seto was shocked to see him while I just smirked.
"Hello, Seth. Are you also here to see Kisara?" Seraphina asked. Seth smiled a little and nodded before walking over to the...Blue Eye White Dragon?!
"You know how cranky she'll be if I didn't visit her, little sister," he told her.
"He better not forget it!" Kisara growled. I and Seraphina laughed while Seth looked at her confused.
"What? What did Kisara say?" He asked her.
"She said and I quote 'he better not forget it!'" Seraphina said. Seth looked at Kisara.
"I slipped up one time, you're still not letting it go?" He asked. Kisara shook her head.
"Good for blackmail," she told him. Seraphina told him what she said and Seth sighed.
"I'll have to live with it," he said. We came back and I smirked seeing a shocked Seto.
"There ya have it," I told him. He shook his head to get rid of the shock. "Now, about me and Yami," I reminded. Seto sighed and crossed his arms stubbornly.
"If he makes you happy...then...you have my blessing. But if he hurts you then I'll make him wish he was never a spirit to begin with," Seto growled lowly. I smiled and hugged my brother.
"Thank you, Seto," I said to him. Seto kissed my head.
"You've had enough pain in your life, Sera. I don't want you to be in anymore pain," he told him as he held me tight. Seto then left for the cockpit and I met up with the others.
"Attention duelists, we are now back on course to Kaiba Corp. Island for the conclusion of the Battle City Finals," Roland announced. I walked to Yugi's room and knocked.
"Come in!" Yugi called. I walked in with a smile.
"Hey, there's my second favorite spike head," I joked.
"Why am I the second?" Yugi asked mocking pouting.
"Because I'm not dating you," I smirked.
'I take it I'm the first favorite,' Yami said as he appeared smirking. I nodded.
"But of course, my Pharaoh," I replied making him chuckle.
"What's up, Sera?" Yugi asked. I smiled again.
"Just came to deliver good news to Yami about our relationship," I said to him.
'At least it's good news. What is it?' Yami asked me.
"Seto gave me his blessing. How he found out we were together, I have no idea. I'm just happy I don't have to hide it from him anymore," I said to him. Yami and Yugi were blinking in shock.
"He gave his blessing?!" They both asked making me laugh. I nodded.
"Yup. Sure, it was...weird for lack of better terms, but I'm fine with it. He said he just wanted me to be happy," I smiled. Yami and Yugi smiled back. I smirked. "He just doesn't like that in a way I'm kinda dating Yugi as well," I lied. Yugi's eyes widened as his face turned red with blush.
"We're not dating!" He exclaimed.
"Oh, I don't know. I mean, you and Yami share a body. Who am I kissing if you two are sharing a body?" I asked. Yugi and Yami blushed. I tried to stifle my giggles. Yami looked at me.
'You were joking, weren't you?' He asked. I nodded and let the chuckles escape.
"Sera, so not funny!" Yugi told me. I kept laughing and giggling.
"Really? I thought it was," I said to him. Yami let out a couple chuckles himself.
'I'll admit, I found it amusing,' Yami confessed. Yugi shook his head with a smile.
"Then you two have a weird sense of humor," he said to me. I shrugged.
"Hey, Yugi, Sera," we heard Tea say.
"It's almost that time, guys. So grab your dueling decks and let's go," Tristen said next as we turned. We walked over to them. "Hey, wait. Bakura's in no shape to be out of bed guys," Tristen mentioned.
"Yeah, he was looking pretty bad," Duke agreed.
"He's uh, just getting some air," Yugi lied.
"Now, Yugi and I have some duels to win and we need your help," I said to our friends.
"You bet, we'll be right there on the side lines," Tea smiled.
"You can count on us," Kendra said.
"For sure," Duke and Tristen agreed.
"We're now beginning the descent upon Kaiba Corp. Island for the conclusion of the Battle City Finals. When we touch down, please exit the air craft to await further instructions," Roland announced.
"I guess it's time to get this show on the road," I said to the others. They nodded and we got going. We soon exited the blimp.
"Whoa, check it out, guys," Yugi said looking at the tower.
"That must be the Duel Tower Kaiba was yapping about," Joey said.
"It looks cool, Sera," Kendra said to me. I smiled a little.
"Thanks, Ken."
"Now what?" Joey asked.
"I'm sure we'll find out soon enough," Yugi replied.
"Look, the island we're standing on is the sight of the original Corporation, but Sera and I tore it down," Seto said from behind us.
"Is that..?" Yugi asked.
"Yes, that's mine and Sera's Duel Tower and I plan to defeat you on the very top, Yugi," Seto said to him. Yami took over then.
"Look, rich boy! In case you forgot, Sera's in this tournament too and you won't be getting passed her! She'll duel some many circles around ya, you won't know your trap cards from your graveyard, punk!" Joey told him.
"Must you insist on embarrassing yourself, Wheeler? You shouldn't have even been in my tournament, amateur!" Seto said.
"What?!" Joey growled.
"Hey, calm down, champ," Tristen tried to calm him down.
"That's it, man. You want a piece of this, let's go!" Joey growled. Okay, patience lost.
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!" I shouted. Joey shrunk back as Seto flinched. "We have dueling to do, so move it before I make you!" I ordered. The all got moving then and Yami looked at me.
"You can be pretty scary when you're mad. You know that, right?" He asked me. I smirked.
"Love, you haven't seen me scary," I stated.
"She's right!" Kendra and Mokuba agreed. Yami shuddered a little.
"Remind me not to get on your bad side," he muttered. We kept walking until Dark Marik walked up.
"It's such a lovely day, isn't it, Pharaoh and Queen? Too bad some of your friends can't enjoy it from all the way in the Shadow Realm," he said to me and Yami.
"Hey, artichoke head! You're going down!" Joey growled.
"Then let's get on with these duels then do I find out who my next victim is," Dark Marik said.
"Just chill out! We'll tell you inside the Tower, is that clear?!" Mokuba asked.
"Then why don't we proceed so the fun can begin?" Dark Marik chuckled. We walked up to the tower.
"So what's inside this thing?" Joey asked.
"A restaurant," I lied.
"Really?"
"No!" I told him.
"So mean, giving my hopes up like that," Joey sulked. I giggled.
"You'll live," I said.
"Why don't you try listening for a change, Wheeler?" Seto asked. He was smirking because of what I did to Joey.
"You're attention please, step to the center of the tower. The second half of the Battle City Finals will take place right here," Roland said as we walked in.
"So far it's not so impressive," Joey commented.
"This place doesn't look like a dueling arena," Tea said. Mokuba and I smirked.
"Oh yeah? Just wait and see," Mokuba told them. I ruffled my little brother's hair.
"As you know, there are four finalists remaining; Yugi, Marik, and of course Mr. Kaiba and Ms. Kaiba. You'll notice we're surrounded by four doors each duelist must choose a door for which to enter. Choose wisely," Roland told us.
"What's behind them?" Yami asked. I smirked.
"You'll see, love," I replied.
"Before we may proceed with the next round of the Battle City Finals, each participant must choose one of the four doors that surround us," Roland said.
"What you two gonna chose?" Joey asked us.
"I don't think there's a wrong choice," Yami replied.
"Of course not," I agreed. I walked to the closest one, Yami was one my right, Dark Marik on my left, and Seto across from me.
"Everyone else, come on and follow me!" Mokuba told our friends. Our friends then followed Mokuba and I went to my platform. We were all then lifted up until we reached our counters which started at 4000.
"Before the winner of the Battle City Tournament can be crowned, we must first narrow down the finalists. So in the semifinal round, the four remaining duelists will be reduced to two. But first lady and gentlemen, a preliminary duel must be played. This special duel will determine who faces who in the semifinals and all four duelists will participate at one time. As you lose points your terminal will climb higher. The first two duelists to reach the top will face each other in round one. Each duelist will begin with 4000 life points and when it's your turn, you can attack any of the other players," Roland informed.
(Seto-4000, Yugi-4000, Marik-4000, Sera-4000)
"And now for some new regulations, you must all limit your decks to no more than forty cards so take this time to prepare your decks," Roland told us. We did as he said and got our Duel Disks ready. "Now connect your Duel Disks to the monitor in front of you," Roland said next. Yami looked at me and I showed him where to hook the machine up. He nodded in thanks. "This screen will display the images of the cards you play. Remember, winning or losing this duel has no effect on how you place in the finals. This is simply a strategic way to determine who your opponent will be in the semifinal round. Again, this duel will not affect your overall placement," Roland finished. Well, I know who I pick to duel. I'm not going to duel my boyfriend or my brother, so Marik is the only choice. He needs to pay for what he's done, to Mai, Odion, the real Marik, and Bakura. "Prepare yourselves, duelists. The four way duel is about to begin. Remember, the first two duelists to lose their life points will face each other in the semifinals. It's time to begin, now determine which duelist will make the first move. Now you'll each draw a monster card and the attack points will determine who goes first. However, the monster you chose cannot be used in this duel," Roland said. Mine and Yami's eyes widened. What!? If either us want to go first then we have to sacrifice a powerful monster! I looked at my cards. "It is now time to reveal your cards," Roland announced. We all held up a card. "Yes, hold up the card so all the players can view them. I chose Petite Angel since I want to save my strongest cards for the duel. Seto was first, then Marik, then Yami, and lastly me. Seto and I looked at each other.
"Best of luck, little sister," Seto smirked. I smirked back.
"Right back at ya, big brother," I replied. I looked at Yami. 'Good luck. One of us has to take Marik down, so whoever ends up close will help the other out. Sound good?' I thought to him. Yami nodded.
'Sounds good to me. Good luck, Sera,' he thought back.
"Alright, enough waiting around. Let's start this duel!" Seto called drawing his card. "And now, I'll place one card face down, then I'll summon Force Raider (1900 ATK) in attack mode. That ends my turn," Seto said.
"Not bad, Seto Kaiba, then again, your monster's no match for my Newdoria (800 DEF). That's all for now," Dark Marik said.
"Alright then, my move. I summon Big Shield Gardna (2600 DEF) to the field in defense mode! And place these face down," Yami finished. I looked at my cards and smirked.
"I will place Feral Imp (1400 DEF) in defense mode. Then I play a card face down!" I called.
"Nice move, little sister. Sorry to say this, but Force Raider, attack her Feral Imp!" Seto ordered.
"I'll protect you and I'll do it by activating my trap card Regulation of Crime!" Yami called. "Thanks to this trap card I can stop the attack of one type of monster, I choose beast warriors like Force Raider!" Yami told Seto. I smiled at Yami.
"Thanks," I said to him.
"Sera, you and I are a team and I'll always protect you," he said to me. He then looked at my brother. "Kaiba, this tournament of yours is far more dangerous than you could ever understand," he told Seto. Yami is right...is Yami trying to protect me so I don't have to duel Marik? If I lose, I can't be sent to the Shadow Realm because of my Crystal, but if I do lose then I lose my Millennium Crystal as well. No, I won't lose, I won't lose the Millennium Crystal, I'll keep my promise to Yami and Yugi, and I'll save Mai from the Shadow Realm. I started thinking about the first time I went to the Shadow Realm. I was running around and I saw all my friends and brothers laying on the ground.
"Guys, wake up! Come on, this isn't funny!" I told them. I shook my brothers, they wouldn't wake up. "Seto...Mokuba...please...don't leave me...not like mom and dad did," I cried. I looked over and saw Yami who was next to Yugi. I ran over to him and pulled him into my lap. "Yami, love, open your eyes. Please. I can't lose you too. Yami? Yami! YAMI!" I cried. I opened my eyes and wiped a tear away. That was the worst dream I could have ever had.
'Sera, are you alright?' Yami asked me worried.
'Yeah...just remembering something. No worries,' I thought back. Yami gave a nod, but still looked worried. I looked back at my brother who showed a little worry as well. I gave a small smile of reassurance and he nodded a little. When I had opened my eyes after waking up, I was relieved to see everyone alive, especially Yami and my brothers. I don't know what I would do if I ever lost any of them.
