Troye's POV
FLASHBACK Twelve Years Ago//First Encounter
(A/N: KEYWORD IS FLASHBACK aka FETUS TROYLER MEMORIES)
“Hey, are you Troye?”
I heard a voice coming from above me, nobody that I had recognized from classes today, so I assumed that it was another one of the big kids here to pick on me.
“Just leave me alone!” I sniffled, running my hand below my nose to clear any of the snot that had built up, then wiping it on my overalls.
“Hey, hey, I’m not here to pick on you. Trust me, I know how that feels.” The voice said soothingly. I heard a thunk next to me and then felt an arm around my shoulder. I didn’t look up, embarrassed of my tear stained red puffy eyes, but I didn’t shrug the arm off either.
“Well if you’re not here to pick on me, then why are you here? I can’t imagine you actually wanting to talk to me. I’m boring.”
I heard the person next to me hesitate before speaking. “Actually Troye, that’s why I’m here.”
I looked up now, revealing the person next to me. He was a boy with sandy blonde hair atop his head and blue eyes. But what held my attention was his glasses, the huge black frames magnifying his eyes. I reached out and pulled them off his face, pushing them on mine instead. Everything looked blurry and hazy, but the boy besides me laughed. I giggled, this boy’s laugh was funny. He sounded like a witch! But the boy grabbed them back after a second and extended a hand. “My name’s Tyler! Tyler Oakley. And if you don’t mind Troye, I’d like to be your friend.”
I reached my hand out, smiling. “The name’s Troye Sivan, and yes, I think I want to be your friend.”
He shook my hand ferociously, my arm bouncing up and down. I laughed again.
“I think we’ll be proficient friends Troye. Proficient. That’s my word of the day you know. Now come on, let’s go play.”

PRESENT TIME…
(A/N: That means that we're back to them in the car)
"My name's Tyler. Tyler Oakley. I do believe we've met before."
The words slipped out of his mouth slowly, shyly at first, and then transitioned into steady confident lines. They surrounded me, constricting me and pushing my stomach inwards so that I couldn't breathe. I found myself sputtering silently for air, eyes facing forward in a nostalgic and confused haze. Here I was, sitting in my dad’s rental car on the first day of the rest of my life, sitting next to the boy whose life I was pretty sure I had ruined. I couldn't help but feel slight pangs of self induced guilt and fear drift aimlessly throughout my body in alternating waves. In hindsight, Tyler didn’t look anything like he did as a child, his hair now grown out and dyed a vibrant lilac that was molded in a quiff with not a single hair out of place. His eyes were the only thing that stayed reminiscent of six-year-old Tyler, the same gorgeous aquamarine eyes that crinkled at the edges that were framed by large rectangular black rimmed glasses. I resisted the inexplicable urge to grab his glasses and wear them for myself, instead setting my hands in my lap and staring downwards. Tyler had changed tremendously, both physically and mentally. His white shirt was speckled just enough with raindrops that it stuck to his body, revealing a rather slender and toned stomach. I inhaled deeply and exhaled, reminding myself that it wasn’t okay for me to be checking out my ex best friend’s body at a time like this.
