~Chapter 2~

"Sir, we're here. Wake up," Someone shook my arm lightly and I stirred from my sleep, suddenly remembering where I was. "Sorry, sorry. I'm going." I muttered. I was the last one to get up, the only other person in here was someone trying to drag out their oversized carry on. I grabbed my own and followed suit. Inside the airport, I got my luggage of the cart. I tried to remember the vague description my father gave me of my Great Uncle. Medium height, gray hair and beard, blue eyes, like my own.

Thanks Dad, I totally know who he is now, note the sarcasm.

After about ten minutes of searching like an idiot and accidentally asking a middle-aged women if she was my Uncle, I find someone who remotely fit the description. "Uh hello? Are you Uncle Charlie?" I asked, my hand awkwardly scratching the back of my neck. The man I assumed was my distant family, turned towards me. "Only if you're Niall." He joked, holding out a hand. "Boy, it's been a long time since I've seen you. You know you look exactly like your father when he was-" and then I stopped listening because I'd spotted something else a little more interesting than my Uncle's spiel on how old I'm getting. Across from me Louis was dragging a suit case towards the exit. His eyebrows curved down as he tried to concentrate on reading some pamplet in his hand. Why would he be here?

Suddenly, Uncle Charlie poked my shoulder, "Niall? Hello?" He looked over his shoulder, where Louis had just vanished through the exit doors. He turned back around and gave me a confused look, "M'sorry, I'm just tired. Mind if we get going? I want first dibs on the beds," I smiled lightly. He nodded taking my carry on and throwing it over his shoulder, "Alrighty! Let's go!"

In the front seat of Uncle Charlie's, who insisted I call him Charlie, car I could see the camp grounds as we neared. It was set at an old religous university, shut down a long time ago because of how far out it was in the woods. The school was gigantic, made of stone and brick, with untrimmed green weeds climbing up the sides. A lake could be seen not to far away too.

Charlie pulled up to the school and dropped me off, telling me he'd park the car, then be right in. After registering and being handed one too many booklets, I was sent down to my room. Luckly no one was there yet but I was sure someone else would be arriving soon, so I hurried to choose my bed. I picked the one closest to the door and unpacked quietly. Uncle Charlie had yet to be seen, but I could hear footsteps coming and going down the halls. Just as I was about done packing, a set a footsteps stopped right in front of my door. I turned right as the door swiveled open and had to fight the urge to drop my jaw. "Hey, I know you!"

Shit.

"Oh, uh, hi Louis." I stammered. He walked in energetically, holding his bags in his arms instead of rolling them. "Long time, no see," He teased throwing his bags down on the bed by the window. He leaned over to the window and peeked out. "Do you know when we are supposed to meet up again or whatever for camp meetings?" He asked flopping down on his bed. His blueish gray eyes looked to me like I'd been his friend for years. I'm sure I looked like a fish out of water. My jaw practically hitting the floor. "Erm I'm not sure-" Suddenly Charlie walked into the room, effectively stopping me from continueing to stutter. "Hey Niall, did you get in alright?" He asked. I nodded. His gaze dropped to Louis who waved a bit. "Hello," Louis chimed, "I'm Louis Tomlinson." He greeted and smiled as he sat up. My knees buckled a bit. "Charlie Horan." My uncle replied leaning over to shake hands with Louis. No wonder this boy was so popular, he'll talk to anyone. "The counsler told me you guys should meet downstairs for your first group meeting in about thirty minutes." Charlie said checking his watch, "Gosh, you're already all set up, aren't ya? I got caught up talking to someone down in the lobby. Well I guess I'll just hit the road. Have fun, Niall. I'll see you in two months, ok?" I nodded again. He peaked around me to Louis who was unzipping one of his bags, "Nice meeting you Louis." Louis' head perked at the sound of his name, "You too, Mr.Horan." His smile sent my heart racing.
