When everything you love flashed before your eyes, a bright light, it's one or the other. There was no way having both bots walking out of the situation, the ringing sound of the explosions and shouts in the background. But there was nothing now I could focus on except the approaching platoon, that was until-
"(Y/n) get back here!" the warrior before my eyes, the (f/c) coloured Cybertronian was out in the open between the crossfire between us and the enemy. Their weapon in hand they had a confident look, but their optics gave their true emotions away, fear. No matter how good their acting was, their optics always told the truth, it always had.
"I'm buying you some time." Was their response, much to my dismay. "I'll distract the cons and you can run, okay? Cool, good, glad we have an agreement."
"There is no agreement, you'll get yourself killed out there." I hissed at the form in front of me, their back facing towards my direction as they eyed the approaching enemy. They think I don't know what's on their mind, but I do, and one thing I know in this chaotic battle, is that I would not allow such thing to happen. "As your medic, I order you to come back here this instant, and we'll figure something else out."
"Sorry, can't do."
Grasping onto their arm, their body jolted violented. Head tilted slightly to the side as they glanced a look towards my direction, my blue optics locked onto theirs. The clear (e/c) now flooded with fear, yet determination remains. Of course, it remained. But I'm not backing down that easily either, not on this matter. "I'm not taking no as an answer."
"I don't think you have much of a choice doc." My optic ridge furrowed at their words, opening my jaws to retort and demand a change of action once again. However, before I could scold at them again an energy shot flew past our helms. Merely missing out heads by inches.
"Heh, looks like we're out of time." I watched as they attempted to brush my servo away, gripping onto them firmly as I stared into their optics making my stand. I don't know what I had expected their response to be, with two simple words "Sorry, Ratchet." they smiled. Feeling sharp pain in my stomach, pushing my armour back into me I fell onto my knees. My grip loosened, I felt them took the opportunity to pull away.
Watching in vain as the (f/c) bot made their way across the field, something slipped from their hand and crashed into the concrete with a small metallic sound. The found yet rigid object glimmered on the battlefield, it wobbled like an egg hatching until it finally settled on the concrete. I didn't need another glance to know what it was, my gaze flickered up towards (Y/n)'s form desperately.
"Hey, Ratchet." They smiled as they turned to face towards my direction, their back towards the enemy as they trotted backwards. Stretching their free hand out, fist clenched with two digits out pointing down at the location of my spark, they smiled "Boom."
BOOM.
