One step after another. You would've expected that you would get closer to the answer with each step, but it seems with eat step you take it only drifts further away. No matter how long you've stayed in the Autobot base there was no sign of your past, what you've been up to the past four million years. It's all a mystery. And you know for a fact, you hate it. Despite being answered all of the questions you had and dragged around by the two energetic bots, yet everything is so distant.

Gazing across the horizon the bright morning sun caused you to squint your eyes as it slowly climbed its way up across the sky, the air was still, your surroundings were silent with only you and your own thoughts. It became a habit, or more of a hobby to sit above the base and watch the rising sun, it gave you a sense of hope that things would work out just like how the sun would rise every day even if it was blocked out by thick layers of clouds.

Your attention was only drawn away from the beauty of Earth's nature at a soft click sound behind you, it felt more familiar than anything when you turned around and blurted out a sentence almost like you've one the same thing every day for hundreds of years. "Took you long enough-"

You gaze caught the big blue orbs which just blinked at you in confusion, "Were you expecting me?" the young scout beeped, his yellow paint glimmered under the morning sun almost like he himself was glowing as he approached you.

"No, no, no... I don't know why I said that. It just slipped out...." Why? You were never expecting anyone to begin with then why did it felt so natural to just say that? Why did your chest felt so heavy the second you saw it was only Bumblebee? Nothing makes sense and you hate it, the mystery and the unexplainable, the familiar feelings and more questions that come with it. It was beyond infuriating. "Oh, and morning Bee."

"Morning (Y/n), it sure does have a nice view up here doesn't it," Bumblebee beeped, "It's been a while since you've joined team Prime, how you are holding up? Any better with the amnesia?" the young mech looked at you with genuine concern, causing the heaviness in your chest to melt into warm appreciation.

"If it was only that easy." You replied with a bitter smile but gave the other bot a reassuring nudge. "But hey, I'm workin' on it. Each day I'm that closer to remembering something," you said and pressed your thumb and index finger close together but not quite touching yet. "I'll get there, somehow. Just watch me," You grinned to reassure the yellow and black bot and asked, "Cliffjumper not with you?"

"Nah, he and Arcee went on a mission." Bumblebee whirled, taking in a seat beside you he crossed his legs and leaned backward, supporting himself with his arm. "I think Bulkhead is still sleeping, Optimus and Ratchet are up though."

"I saw them on my way up, sometimes I wonder if they ever recharge." You joked, the two always seemed to be up and working before any of the other team members. It's a surprise they haven't died from overworking themselves.

Bumblebee lets out a small laugh, "They gotta keep everything runnin' or we're all gonna go, poof." He said, waving his hand out into the air as he said the last word, allowing himself to fall backward with loud giggles.

You laughed as well, "Heh, with you and Cliff running the place pretty sure you'll run out of business." You teased the younger mech with a playful smirk when he lets out a loud "hey!".

The two of you ended up laughing, as the silence settled back down you turned to look at the risen sun. It was bright, almost blinding but nonetheless, you continued to stare into the bright void of the ball of light. None of the two of you spoke as you just sat there beside each other in a comfortable silence, it was nice you had to admit. You couldn't remember when the last time was you had such a relaxing morning, but then again you could barely remember many things. But you know one thing for sure, like every other morning there's this hunch that something was missing no matter how perfect the morning seemed, there was just something missing.

But what is it?
