The Kid in the Corner

I can't stand class, sitting in a desk

confined to a chair

Having everyone around you speak,

with thier volume turned to Max

Even my headphones can't block out thier laughter

I want to slide down my seat and escape all the cliche's

and pointless conversations

I want to evaporate from this class of useless information

I want the girls in the front to shut up

And I want the guys in the back to stop posting crap

I can't stand siting here like a target

Unable to move from the scene

Im screaming inside

and they don't see it

They are too busy in thier own world

I'm on the outside

watching them

Alone in my corner

confined to my desk

Unable to block out thier laughter

Probably because I know who they are laughhing at

And it isn't the girls in the first row

or the guys in the back

It's that one kid in the corner

clenching thier fists

trying to control themselves

from an outburst

That kid is in us all

We are the kid in the corner

watching the world from the outside

And everyone is laughing at us

And no matter how hard we try,

we can never block them out

They are holding us back

And all we do is sit there

and let them!

We don't fight it

We hide in the corner and hold it all in

And one day we will burst

And we will fight back

One day that kid will get up and walk out

That kid in the corner will finally speak up

We are all that kid confined to a desk

The kid in the corner
