someone knocked on the door today. mother never not said to open the doors to strangers.
i opened the door and a smell of strawberries and melons came rushing in. they stood very close to my face.
i stepped backwards and walked into the mirror. crash! the mirror collapsed and was in a million pieces.
i felt someone lift me and i didn't say anything. i was too scared. they sat me down on my bed and then i heard them do something with the broken shards.
after a while, i listened to the footsteps walking into my room and sitting next to me.
"don't worry, i'll protect you from now on"
