Jennie's POV
Maybe things really would work out with Lisa. I hoped they would but maybe they wouldn't. And no matter how much I wanted it, things couldn't stay the way they were forever. But whatever happened, I knew there was a part of me that was always going to belong to Lisa Manoban. A little piece of my heart that would always be Lisa's. And for the first time, everything suddenly seemed...possible. But it's funny when I think about it. Because all this happened in two weeks.
As I see her car roaring in a distance, there's this part of me that wanted to go after her but no, I knew better. Somehow, I found myself going back in the mansion. Savoring the last 1 hr until I go back to the University just as I about to curve into a ball and kill myself with what if's. My phone ringed its Chaeyoung of course.
"Did Lisa left already?"
"Did Jisoo left already?"We said in unison. Then laugh afterwards.
"Yea she already did." I mumbled
"Same here." Chae sounded broken.
"Get your ass here already so we could go?" Diverting the topic.
"Damn girl, I don't understand how you manage to wake up before 7 am" Chae said giggling
"It's because I don't hibernate like a chipmunk ;)" I said teasing her
"Ha ha, very funny, you know I need at least 8 hours of beauty sleep."
"8 hours of sleep with Master sergeant Kim Jisoo? I doubt"
"I can't believe your mind Jendeuk! But anyways, yeah sure, I'll be there in half an hour." Chae said in chaste.
"Sure sure see ya!"I said before ending the call
--FLASHBACK--
I smiled as I sent the last text and remembered the time me and Chae met. It was my first day of school and I didn't really know any of my classmates. At lunch, most of the kids played soccer or climbed on the monkey bars, but I didn't really want to, so I just sat under a tree and read a book. I was so immersed in the story that I didn't notice another girl walking over to where I sat.
"Hi, what are you reading?" A voice suddenly said, making me slightly jump.
"Oh hi, it's called The Golden Compass" I shyly answered as I looked up and showed the cover of the book to the taller girl.
"Wow, you can actually read all of that?" The girl said in shock as she saw how thick the book was before sitting down on the ground next to me.
"Uhm yeah, I really like to read" I answered, still not sure why the other girl wanted to talk to someone like her.
"Are you serious? I can barely read a page before I get bored. I'm Chaeyoung by the way, what's your name?" The taller girl said as she gave her hand to shake.
"Jennie". I smiled, shaking Chae's hand.
--END OF FLASHBACK--
We became the best of friends after that day, always going over to each other's houses to play or to talk about school. We were there for each other whenever one of us was sad or scared. We're still best friends until now sharing a strong bond because of everything we had gone through together. And sure, we bickered from time to time but Im truly lucky to have Chaeyoung, and I knew it.
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my bedroom door.
"Come in."
"Good morning first lady, I just want to go over your itinerary for the day. Today is a very busy day, since Spring Break is over you have to move back to your house at seoul, you have class at 10 am and..-," Mr. Yang continued but I tuned him out, I wasn't in the mood. In fact I already know what's going on today. I just wanted to get more sleep while waiting for Chaeyoung but I know I eventually need to get up and have a little talk with appa before I leave.
