"Hi." Ashton said leaning against the wall next to the door.
I looked at him wide eyed glancing over his appearance, he was in different clothes and his hair looked a little damp. I heard foot steps come up from behind me, and I took a look and oh look who it is.
Luke.
Ashton's eyes shifted over to him, and he stared back with a blank face. Luke had a hard look on his face and he was clenching his fist closed, they were closed so tightly I could see veins pipeing out. I didn't even think twice about the fact that he told me to stay away from Ashton.
Literally the first thing I did when I seen Ashton at my door step was check him out, Luke didn't even cross my mind. I forgot he lived with me for a second.
Luke's jaw was locked back, "Move, Ella." He fumed moving his clenched hand over to the door.
"No." I sternly said, surprising myself. My heart was beating fast in anticipation, he turn towards me in shock that for once I would actually say no to him. He then tried to move me out of the way to shut the door on Ashton but Ashton pushed back the door opening it wider. Luke's eyes flicked over to Ashton, "Luke." I said but he completely ignored me.
"Ashton," Luke said violently stepping forth, in front of me. I gripped his shirt in anger and yanked him back, "You know what Luke, I was just leaving with Ashton. So take your ass back inside." I picked up my boots that were in the front foyer and grabbed one of my random hoodies that were there. Ashton's eyes were following my movements, but he didn't say anything.
"No Ella get back insi-" Luke started still completely pissed off, but I wasn't going to let him push me around. I was leaving. I cut off Luke, "Fuck Luke I don't care anymore. If I don't come home, don't bother worrying about me. Its not like you would have either." I sneered, while shoving my boots on "Tell mom and dad I'm staying at Rose's. If you don't." I paused for dramatics. "I'll tell them."
When I threatened him he instantly turned red in the face, because he knew that if he didn't do what I said now his ass would be sent to military school. Before I left I seen Ashton give Luke a giant smirk, I slammed the door closed and let out a breath.
I ran my hand through my long hair and looked at Ashton who was smiling at me, "Good girl gone bad." He chuckled and I rolled my eyes. I wasn't as good as he thought but whatever.
He looked over at me and sighed when I didn't laugh, "Here," He said digging his hand in his jacket pulling out his cigarette pack and a lighter, "Looks like you could use a smoke." He tossed me one and I didn't deny him.
We began walking down the street towards the park that was in our neighbourhood before lighting the cigarettes. I'd never smoked anything before, so when I took my frost drag of the cigarette I sputter out a few coughs and it took me a few seconds but around my third or fourth intake of the smoke I was getting used to it.
"So what did you have against Luke that made him let you leave?" Ashton's inquired at me while we walked over to the swings that were on the park. Since it was getting dark nobody was here, it was just us two.
"Just something.." I said quietly while setting myself down on the first swing, there was only two so Ashton took the one next to me.
"Oh so you can't tell me?" He asked grinning at me, "Nope." I said beginning to swing myself up in the air.
"Whatever," He lightly said before blowing smoke,in my direction. "Where are you gonna stay tonight?" He asked looking up at the sky with his cigarette hanging out his mouth.
"I don't know actually, I-" I stop myself and think about what a stupid choice I'd just made saying that I wasn't coming home.
"Hey, if you don't have anywhere to go you could sleep at my place." He looks over and I shrug, I didn't take his offer anywhere different. If I needed to I was just going to sleep on the couch or something.
"Or maybe we don't have to sleep tonight," He said, and I thought he was leading this somewhere else.
"We could go out, and do something. I don't know.." He trailed off, "Its just a thought." He finished off his cigarette and threw it down stomping on it.
He held his hand out in front of me and said, "So what do you say," He grinned grabbing my hand and pulling me up, "Wanna have a midnight adventure?" I smiled at him and he took that as a yes. We ran across the parks green grass, hand in hand, under the dark sky as we came to our first stop of the night. Which was just laying on the grass. As cliche as that is.
