"Hey baby" my mom says as I descend down the steps

"Good morning mommy." I kiss her cheek

"I have to tell you something." She says putting down her phone as I open the fridge to grab a Body Armor drink

"Ok." I shrug opening the bottle

"My boss wants to have dinner at our house."

"Really?" I say wide eyes

"I think she's giving me a promotion, and that'll be good because I won't have to work as much." She smiles

"That's great! What made her want to eat here?" I ask

"I told her I make a mean lasagna." She smirks

"It do be good." I nod in agreement "When?"

"Saturday."

"Oh mom..." I say sitting at the table with her " I have a date with Gazzy..."

"You're gonna have to cancel it." She says putting her glasses on and getting back on her phone

"Please can he eat with us, I don't want him to think I stood him up. Plus it'll give you a chance to get to know him better." I say taking her hands in mine

"I suppose it'll be ok. My boss's son is supposed to be coming to..." I hug her really tight

"Thank you!" I say running up stairs to call pump

I dial his number and wait for him to pick up.

"Hello," He says with a deep sleep voice

"Are you sleeping?" I slurp some of my drink

"Yea babe what's up?"

"We are having dinner with my mom and her boss and her son."

"Her boss and her son?" He says grudgingly

"Yea her son is like 8 I think I don't know...but her boss is really cool. And you can get to know my mom." I have a huge grin on my face.

I really liked my idea.

"Sure baby I'll come." He says

"Sorry I woke you." I say walking over to my window

"Come over." He says

"You asking me or telling me?"

He smacks his lips "stop playing."

"I can't I wish, I have to study."

"Let me come over then..."

"My mom is home." I lay back in bed

"Why you only let me come over when she not there..."

"She don't fully accept our relationship yet."

"Well I got some business to take care of so I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow."

"Ok that's good."

"Bye." He hangs up

Ever since that lunch at his mom's restaurant he's been the nicest man ever. All that hoe, pussy, and shit talking he does is gone. He's become a real gentlemen. I said yes to being his girlfriend, giving us a try in a healthy relationship which is successful.
