Why Her

Sigh

Authors POV

Marinette sighed as she watched Chat Noir leap into the darkness, she already missed his comfort, his embrace.

She was quickly snapped out of her daze by the front door opening and her parents voices calling out to her that they were back.

"Honey! We're back!" She heard her papa shout up the trapdoor stairs,
"Sshhh! She might be asleep, look at how late it is already." Her mama whisper-shouted.

She breathed a sigh of relief, even though she wanted her parents comfort before, she was tired now and simply wanted to be alone.

She once again stared out the window, deep in thought of what kind of life Chat lived outside of his superhero one.

The bluenette climbed into bed, exhausted from the day.

"Goodnight Chat," She whispered as she drifted off into a deep, deep sleep.

Adrien/Chat's POV 

As I leapt across Paris' rooftops, a thousand thoughts were racing through my head. Chloe, Marinette, school, Hawkmoth etc.

I decided to stop at the Eiffel Tower to think some more about the whole Chloe situation. 

Chloe has always been nice to me, never necessarily completely mean to others except Marinette, but that's the only bad thing about her really.

 And I know she has a tragic past, so maybe I can influence her in a good way if we start dating. 

I also kind of like her, through all of the pulling away from her, I do feel there is, and has always been something there. 

Plus, what have I got to lose.

The only thing I could think of that would stop me is that flash of blue. 

Could it be paparazzi?

Could it be someone at our school who has already started spreading rumors?

Could it be someone who has a crush on me?

I don't want to break anyone's heart... but then again, no one I know has really showed any signs of liking me.

Or it could have just been an animal.

I also don't want to be in a relationship if it's just fake and for show, or get my heart broken. 

I sigh in frustration, why does love and life in general have to be so hard.

I decide to talk to Chloe in the morning at school, about her feelings and thoughts. 

*Time skip*

Adrien's POV (still)

I race to school that morning, in fear that Chloe had told some people about the kiss.

I had decided last night that if Chloe did seem legit about a relationship, I would ask her out.

I spotted her, she was talking to Sabrina about something, hopefully not about the kiss, although everything seemed to be normal, no cocky expressions or anything like that as I made my way up to her.

"Adrikins!" she exclaimed, her voice full of delight to see me.
"Hi Chloe," I greeted her back, "Hey, can we talk in private for a sec?"
"Sure!"

As soon as we got somewhere private I turned to her and instantly started talking (This may be long... sorry not sorry!😇)

"Look, Chlo, about the kiss the oth-"
"It's OK, I liked it,"
"Y-yeah well, just let me talk for a minute, OK?"
"Sure, talk away Adrikins"

I sigh deeply before I hurdle into things

"The kiss, was, well, it was interesting. I was suprised at first when you kissed me because, well, I've never kissed a girl before apart from my mother, but then as we kept on kissing, I actually kind of liked it, and I started to realise my feelings for you. I realised they had been there all along, I was just to blind to notice them. Now, I don't want to get into a relationship without understanding that you have the same intentions as me, that it';s not just for show and that you do actually have legit feelings for me too. So, I-I guess I'm kinda asking you out right now, you don't have to say yes, but I was just assuming that, well, that since YOU were the one who kissed ME, that you maybe, kinda, sort of like me, like, like me like me, like a crush. Wow that's a lot of likes..."

I could see Chloe's face brighten up, her eyes widen and her smile brighten, I braced myself for impact of squealing, or rejection.

"YES!!!! YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!!!!!!" she squealed as she threw herself onto me, embracing me in a massive warm hug.

"We can hold hands, go on romantic dat-," She gasped "WE CAN GO ON DOUBLE DATES!!!!"

"yeah, I guess," I chuckled in amusement. I had a feeling this relationship was going to be anything but boring.

Marinette's POV

I sprinted to school as if my life depended on it... probably because it did, I had science in the morning with Ms. Mendeliev. 

Like, wow. She was one of the strictest teachers I've ever met, she once sent Nathaniel to the principals office for getting out of his seat to pick up his drawings that CHLOE purposely knocked off the table.

I looked at my watch to check the time, 30 seconds until the bell rang, I practically fell into my locker to try and get my books on time.

As I was racing up the stairs to get to class, I didn't realize someone was in front of me, I bashed into them, just like I did with my locker door, dammit why can't I be less clumsy I thought.

Just as I looked upwards to apologize I heard the man say, "Oh, Marinette, are you alright?"

Adrien

"Y-y-yeah, I'm plate! I mean great! S-sorry," I stuttered. He chuckled a little,
"Just be more careful next time OK?" 
"Y-yeah, O-OK..." It was hard enough talking to him as it was, but after seeing him kiss Chloe, I couldn't stand even looking at him.

"I-I have to go," I quickly stated and raced out of there, trying to ignore the feeling of his eyes on me as I ran off.

I burst into my class, with, suprisingly plenty of time left, almost 1 minute, wait, that didn't make sense, I thought I only had 30 seconds left.

I looked up at the clock on the wall, it was 2 minutes ahead of mine. Oh. that makes sense.

I sat down next to Alya, "Hey girl!"
"Hey Alya,"
"Did you finish the science homework?"
"For once in my life, Alya, yes. I did." she let out a dramatic gasp,
"No. Really? Who are you and what have you done with my Marinette??" i gave a small laugh,
"Ha ha, very fun-"
"First you come EARLY, not late, not even on time, but EARLY, and second you did you homework?!?! Wow. Just, wow."

I decided to do as Elsa says and just let it go.
(Sorry, was that too much??)

Just as I looked at the door, wondering where Adrien was, I saw him come in, I was happy for a second to see his warm smile and perfectly chiseled jawline.

But then I saw her, I saw her attached to his arm like a little monkey, and him seeming to enjoy it.

"Hey dude, are you and Chloe a.... thing?" Nino asked
"Yeah! She and I are now officially dating, you'd be suprise...." His voice faded off into the distance for me.

All I could think was Chloe, mean. Adrien, nice. Together?

No. nononononothishastobeanightmarenonononono.

I couldn't wrap my head around it, so I did the only thing a sane person would do.... (Kill Chloe. HA! I wish...)

Sigh.

Hullo!! Sigh. I'm sorry that I didn't write in what felt like forever to me, probably, hopefully wasn't THAT long, but anyways, sorry. I hope to get better at this, and for the story to grow. (Like every other person here)
