Part 18 – Deja Vu
"Few more minutes Khushi. It is so peaceful to sit here...." Payal tried to stop Khushi who actually was not in any hurry as well, when suddenly Payal got up and went ahead...
That's when Khushi saw with her mouth open and googlie eyes...... Payal was at the gate of the temple, hugging and taking blessings...
Khushi ran down, a wide smile adorning her beautiful face and gave a tight hug to her Babuji.
"Bitiya, give him some space to brethe.." Garima came to Shashi's rescue.
"Aye sanka devi, what are you doing" Buaji called her giving a pat on her head..
"Khushi you are such a nautanki (Drama queen) Leave him alone" Payal pulled her back
"Jiji, you knew and you never told me?" Khushi complained to Payal making a big pout, to which Payal scoffed her off saying "If your phone was charged you would have known. Kiran uncle (the doctor) was coming to town and thought he could see if Babuji could take the stress of travelling since he was getting better"
"So I asked if we could go to Devi Maiyyas temple beti " Garima finished the conversation with Buaji leading them all to the main temple "Hai re nand kishore, are we going to be stood here all day!!"

This was getting uncomfortable, but a promise is a promise. She had to call. Payal's thoughts went back to the time when Khushi had just arrived and they had moved into their new house.
Flashback start
Despite the excitement of moving and starting a new business, she was often seen in her own world. It was again when Khushi was probing into her silence, she had got his call.. Moving out of Khushi's hearing, Payal received his call. She was selfish, in that she wanted to hear his voice. But when she heard him, her heart broke.
"Hello,. Akash? How are you? What's the matter?"
With a heavy thick accent he had spoken, "aa Payal. I am fine. How are you?"
"I'm ok.. How is everyone?" Payal had gently enquired without deliberately probing too much into his well being. She had no clue what had transpired at his end. She did not know he had spoken to his mum.
"Payal can you do me a favour. I know you will not simply accept my love because of all the differences and everything that has happened before. Trust me I am working towards it, and I know I will be able to prove myself. My only problem is, your Buaji is way too keen to fix you sisters alliances.. so please if any plans do come up, can you tell me first."
She hesitated a bit. She knew it was easy to tell him that she too equally likes him. But would it be an easy path? Especially with her family in such a situation, she did not want to commit, however she did promise what he wanted form her. "Akash, I don't understand anything, there is too much going on both sides. But if that is what you want, ok, I will let you know"
Just as predicted, coming back from the temple, Buaji was way too excited. The Pandit ji had suggested one 'boy' who was to visit Lucknow. He had gone to 'foreign for studies'.. to say in exact Pandits words...
Even though Shashi and Garima were not too keen on sending their to 'foreign' Pandit ji had suggested 'why not see the boy!!!'
