My alarm went off, Blaring that annoying noise. I slammed my hand down hushing the annoying thing. Slowly, I sat up and rubbing my eyes yawning.
"God damn it, I hate that alarm." I muttered and stood up.
I stumbled to the bathroom and did my normal morning routine. "Just another freaking boring day." I said while brushing the mess I call hair.
After i finished I looked in the mirror. My use-to-be a mess called hair is now straight and to my waist. My hair is suppose to be blue but it messed up so its black with a tint of blue. I actually like it more like this. I look straight in my grey eyes and tried to smile. It didn't work. You can see my freckles as clear as day on my pale skin. "Man those are hard to hide."
"Why would you want to hide them?" I quickly turned around and saw Clark, my little 8 year old brother. He always does this.
"Clark! You're suppose to knock." I scolded him.
"Why? Its not like you're naked or anything, I know when you finish."
Smart ass... but I love him too much to actually mean it.
"Come on, Lets go eat." I said in defeat and walked out with him.
We walked into the empty and silent kitchen.
"I would love some pancakes!" Clark said excitedly from the bar stool. Man that kid is fast, like a freaking mini ninja.
I walked to the cabnet and pulled out the pancake mix. "Alright kiddo." I pulled out a mixing bowl and began to make pancakes for the two of us.
"Man Shawn! I love your cooking!" He said happily full.
"Its the only cooking you've had." I chuckled as i picked up our empty plates.
"No I had the nasty schools lunch." He said making a face.
"No you haven't cause I make your lunch." I started washing out dirty plates.
"Yes I have! I had it a few weeks ago."
"Clark, I make you lunch everyday, how would you get a hold of the school lunch?"
"Tommy gave me his pizza for my sandwich."
"You got the bad end of that deal." He made a pouty face. "Now you know to not trade your lunch" I laughed and he smiled.
"I'm not doing that again!" He said proudly.
"Good, now come on. We need to get changed." I helped him off the high bar stool and gently pushed him to his room, then going to mine.
I walked into my closet and picked out a Black and white long sleeve stripe shirt that hugged me and a pair of black skinnies with White that had red, blue and black paint splatters knee high converse. Oh I love these shoes! They are my favorite!
I went to the living room table and picked up my keys. "Come on Clark! We're going to be late!" I yelled down the hall. I went to the fridge and took out Clark's black and blue lunchbox.
Clark came running down and quickly grabbed his bookbag off the floor by the front door. "Im ready!" He said happily.
"Your lunch..." I walked over and held it out to him, which he quickly took.
"Now I'm ready!" I smiled at his words and grabed my blue jansport bookbag.
"Then lets go." We walked out and I locked the door behind me and walked to my car. It was a black crappy ford truck. It eats up gas like it's going out of style but I loved the old thing anyway. I jumped in and unlocked the door for clark and watch him literally climb in.
He was so adorable. He has light brown hair that goes a little on his forehead and curls... kinda like superman but a lot less curl. He had identical grey eyes to mine, has no freckles at all, is pale like me but since he likes going outside, He's a bit more tanner than me but still pale. plus lucky him... He has dimples! He is a real ladies man at school... apparently from what he's told me.
"Shawn! Drive!" Clark shouted at me, bring me back from imaging those little girls fangirling over him.
"Sorry!" I started up the truck and pulled out of the parking spot of out apartment building and began our drive.
"Bye Clark! Have fun! Learn something!" I shouted out the window and he waved back while i drove off.
As I drove down the same road I always drive down I saw something different. I saw an older overweight man running and holding a gun, which freaked me out. Why the fuck is he holding a gun?! I drove passed him and saw a guy around my age running. He was wearing jeans and a red t-shirt so he cant be out for a r-
Then it hit me. He's running away from the guy with the gun. Holy crap!
I reached over and rolled the window while driving and shouted, "Hey! Is that guy chasing you?!" The guy nodded and kept running. "Jump in!" I drove forward a bit and pulled over and opeed the door.
The random guy jumped in and slammed the door. "Drive!" He shouted and I began to drive off as fast as this thing would let me. I heard gun shots and I have no idea if my truck got hit.
"Thanks." He said and I looked at him.
"You're freaking welcome." I kept driving. "Look I have to go to school... do you go to Southwest?" I asked and he nodded. "Well you got a free ride to school. Im Shawn." I introduced myself.
"I'm Luke."
"Why was that guy chasing you?" I asked curiously.
"No reason." He answered and looked behind us. "We lost him... good." He buckled in and sat back.
"There has to be a reason." I said.
"Well there isn't."
Man this guy is weird.
