Chapter 3

"Actually, I am here looking for your assistant."

"Well, today's not your lucky day. She left to her hometown. She needed to do a few chores. Have you tried calling her?

" I have. Unfortunately, the calls keep on going to voicemail. Its really disheartening. I sincerely missed to see her even though we haven't gotten to know anything about each other."

"Someone's whipped! You are falling in love with a stranger Keiran. Before I forget, how is your brother Chase? Is he still the spoilt brat or had he done some growing?"

As they continued with conversation Mrs. Eros received an incoming call. "Hush! Hush everyone! Its Sonia." They kept quiet waiting for her. "Hey dear. Why have you gone silent on us? We have waited for your call and your phone doesn't go through. Anything the problem? How's your mama?"

"She's well! The surgery went well now recuperating. My phone decided to go off on me." She laughed humorously. "When will you be back my girl? Oh, before I forget, someone is here looking for you. Mind talking to him?"

"Who exactly?"

"Keiran"

"Who is Keiran?"

She held the mouth piece and looked at Keiran questioningly. Before she could ask he answered, "just tell her its the guy from the club. She'll know who I am."

"Its the guy you met at the club dear. Do you know him?" She asked trying Keiran suspiciously.

"Oh, his name is Keiran? OK. I'll talk to him put him through." She said.

"Hey girl. How have you been. I've missed seeing you." Keiran said quietly as he motioned the Eros's to give him some space. "I...I've missed you too. I just travelled a little to see my mum." She said blushing hard as if he would see her.

"When will you be back? I really would want to talk to you."

"I must come back on Sunday but I will arrive at night. So maybe we can meet on Monday?"

"That's okey. Please call me once you get here. I assume you got the flowers?" He asked anxiously.

"Which flowers? I've not received any flowers recently. Just say the number. I'll write it down." She answered grabbing a pen and a notebook.

Once through with talking to her he left for the mansion where he lived with his brother Chase and their father. Their mother had left them at six years after finding out that her husband had mistresses all over. She had gotten married to another guy who surprisingly was the biological father of the two boys but this information, they didn't know inclusive of the dad.

Grace had been waiting patiently at the train station for Sonia to arrive. There was a delay at the other end but she just couldn't leave her friend in the cold. At around 4.00am the train arrived. Sonia and Grace reunited and headed home. Sonia filled in Grace about everything including the call she had received from Keiran. Grace had been overjoyed but couldn't stop harassing her friend over it.

At 9.00am she was at Mr. Eros's Library. She knew she had a lot of work and after exchanging pleasantries she got on with her work. As she worked, the front door opened and in strode Keiran, or so she thought. She quickly got down from the ladder and went hugging him. The guy was taken by surprise and stepped back eyeing Sonia dangerously. "Who are you?" He asked her.

She was taken back by the words. Before she could utter anything the guy was out of the door. She thought of going after him but then again thought against it. "Why should I go after him when he clearly behaved like a stranger?" She asked herself as she wiped a lone tear. When she went for a lunch break she received a call from Keiran but decided to ignore it. Why should she pick it? She asked herself. She thankfully had a busy day and that at least kept her mind preoccupied with work.

In the evening she strode to the Jacob's looking and feeling dejected. She had left her house after making dinner for two, herself and Grace. She had later left a note to her since she couldn't get a hold of her to go get some milk for her. When she got there she proceeded to do her normal duties after exchanging pleasantries with her colleagues. As the night wore on in strode Keiran and a blonde model. She wore skimpy dress, had long sexy legs and when she smiled, she had perfect teeth. She felt pain in her heart, she didn't know that she was getting jealous.

Her supervisor, a woman who hated her to the core came to her telling her that she is to serve them. She had no option but to comply or risk loosing one of her sources of livelihood. She went towards them and as she neared them the Blondie held Keiran's chin and kissed him loudly. Eying Sonia with a grin on her face she ordered, "bring us bottle of your finest Scotch, or do you prefer something different sweetheart?" Bowing his head he answered, "that's OK with me. Infact anything's okay with me."

"Awwwww.....someone's shy" she cooed as she dismissed Sonia with her hand. Sonia went to the counter and served them, having a very heavy heart. She talked to the manager and asked for the night off as she just couldn't withstand seeing a man she had such a huge crush on with someone else. She feigned illness and was let go. What she didn't know is that the Blondie was a daughter of sir Erick who also happened to be a business associate. Both parents had agreed to get their children marry so they could have their companies merge. What she also didn't know is that Keiran had been threatened by his dad that if he continued seeing the peasant girl, he would wipe her and her family from the face if the earth and he would also disown him. He had been caught between a rock and a hard place.

Well....is she safe?
