in a world that threw me against the wall and shattered my soul
she was there to help me gather myself again
i shredded my hands trying to desperately put the glass back in place for years
she taught me to have patience and
to heal
there is so many pieces, they're so small
my hands hurt
they bleed daily
she brings me a bandage everyday
she holds my hand too
and i promised to rebuild
as long as i knew she cared
