Defense of the Fandoms! And Other Rants-A-Plenty

So, in light of my friend introducing me to Anime and my life now submerged in it, I'll rant about it.

Especially considering a recent post I happened upon whilst surfing the interwebs.

LET'S DO THIS.

To start, I've seen a lot of hate directed at multiple different Anime shows, so this is kind of an overview of Anime in general, not just defending one show/comic fandom.

I've only recently gotten into Anime, and I love it already. I love the variation it has from other shows/etc I've seen, which is always nice and refreshing.

HOWEVER. I've seen some pretty rank and offensive posts about such. These are coming from places like tumblr, twitter, even wattpad commenters.

Of course, I can understand if you simply have no interest in Anime, but you're taking it to far when you insult the fans and the show on a more personal level.

I'll summarize the things I'm talking about. Sarcastically, of course. What else dauth thou expect from me?

"Anime is boring! All the characters are dumb and undeveloped even though I only watched one episode! And the storyline isn't happening how I want it to. The animation is crap! Also the fans are a bunch of emo satan worshipping freaks!"

Get the gist?

I mean, I know I'm being sarcastic about it, but honestly, c'mon guys. I've seen crap like this EVERYWHERE, and it's unfair.

First of all, people have the balls to insult and critique a show that they have watched ONE EPISODE of. Seriously? They say the characters are undeveloped. You shouldn't know everything about the characters from one damn episode.

Second, you can't hate the plot of said anime if the characters aren't doing what you want or the storyline doesn't follow what you want. You aren't the writer, hon.

Third, the people that insult the animating itself. Can you imagine the amount of time and/or money spent on animating that? I'm not sure these people can do much better.

Lastly, and honestly the most irritating, people who direct their hate at the fans themselves. I've seen people who call some fans satanists, when in reality they are good Christian people that suddenly feel awful about themselves because they fear they are satan-worshipping.

WATCHING ANIME DOESN'T DO THAT TO YA, DARLIN'! Yes, there are animes with demons in them, but that doesn't mean they are inscribing satanic worship onto their audience.

You'd be surprised how much I've seen that thrown at people.

Is Supernatural inscribing demon/satan worship? NO. They just use demons in the story. So anime writers using demons in theirs doesn't mean any more than that.

Okay, and I feel I should add this too, since I saw a post about this today.

Yaoi and Yuri is used much more in Anime than many other things I've seen. Of course, there are those homophobes who insult it for that as well.

Come ON, you are really going to attempt to tear down a show for supporting/using homosexuality? Even if you dislike such, you can simply NOT WATCH IT instead of insulting it.

Damn it, it's just annoying.
