Quick note before anyone reads this: I started writing these when I was nine. They SUCK but I decided to post them anyway just to see if anyone likes them. There are 10 (ish) in the series I have yet to locate 7 of them. But let's give this a shot....

And what you’re about to hear is as weird as it gets. I mean not many people believed me when I told them this story but you will, right? Well, I guess I’ll actually tell you the story and you can decide for yourselves.
I was eleven years old at the time and my family was really poor. We owned a tiny café in Philadelphia. Go Phillies! Anyways, my Uncle was the exact opposite of us; he was the CEO of a successful company, Moderno Inc.
When my parents started having children my mom got my uncle to sign a contract (I have no idea how) stating that if the need arose the oldest of her children would be taken in by my uncle. And guess who was the oldest of the four lovely children my parents had? Yup, you guessed it. Me! So naturally I was the one who got sent off to live with my Uncle. Oh Joy. Anyways, a bit about my family, I have two younger sisters and a younger brother. One of my sisters is named Grace and the other is Julia. They’re twins and were both about 7 when I left. They both have blonde hair and green eyes just like my mom. I however, am the opposite I have wavy brown hair and green eyes, well I guess the eyes are a trait. My brother has hazel hair. Yep you heard me, hazel. Like the eye color but for hair. And he has hazel eyes two. We should have named him Hazel now that I think about it … But his name is Sam. He looks a lot like my dad by the way, but my dad has brown hair kind of like mine. The last member of our family is our dachshund Lolita.
Hey quick fun fact about me, I LOVE reading. I hardly get to read new things because of our financial dilema but when I can read it’s like an out of body experience. But you want to get on with the story right? Okay.
My mom told me I would leave to my uncle’s house on Thursday, the day I’m talking about is Tuesday, I agreed. However I had one condition, I could take Lolita with me. My whole family was reluctant to let her go but I insisted that if I was going to live with my wacky uncle I needed some sort of friend. After about three hours of pestering they finally said yes. So I packed up my bags on Wednesday and thought about what my new life would be like. As I folded and packed my clothes and I remembered that I had never seen my uncle in my life. Was he nice? Was he mean? Who knows! I’ll just tell you I was scared. After a pretty sleepless night it finally became Thursday. I worked through my jobs in the café and at four o’clock he came. My whole family was standing outside of our cafe in a straight line shoulder to shoulder with me in the front. I felt isolated, like I was on my own little island and everyone else was miles away. At that minute a huge black stretch limo pulled up on the street in front of our house. Out of the limo stepped the weirdest looking man I had ever seen.
He had a pinched face, squinty eyes and was very tall and thin. When he saw us he looked disgusted and shook off his tailored Italian suit. When he asked for me I came up bravely with an expressionless face and he looked sort of impressed. I guess he was used to being feared by people. I was okay with him but my parents were certainly frightened, my mom was in tears and my dad looked like he was going to faint. My siblings just hid behind my parents motionless. Harlord had very dark brown, almost black hair which was gelled to his head. He also had sharp blue eyes which looked nothing like my mother’s. “Girl” he said. “Carly” I replied stressing the name. “Yes, right” he turned away from me walking toward the car. “Get your things” he said.
I picked up my suitcases and Grace handed me Lolita’s leash. “You’re taking the dog?” he said. “Yes” I replied. I didn’t know why he asked. Yet. A chauffer took my bags, put them in the trunk and helped me into the car with Lolita. My parents and siblings than came to say goodbye, my little sisters gave me hugs, My dad also gave me a hug and backed away. My brother than came over, he was my closest sibling and best friend. He gave me a hug and a smirk when he saw the tears coming to my eyes. “Oh please, don’t cry now sis!” he said “This isn’t goodbye”. I pulled him in for one last hug before saying “I’ll miss you, stay classy okay?” He smirked again. That was our inside joke you could say. He high fived me after I said that and backed away from the car, finally my mom came over, tears streaming from her face as she said “Carly, I’ll miss you” “I’ll miss you too” I said. She stopped for breath a moment and held my hand. “Carly” she said “There’s something I need to tell you, something I should have told you a long time ago.” I was confused as she started sobbing again and said “You’re adopted”. Then shut the door.
I was surprised and shocked for a moment. What was I supposed to say to that? I mean who tells their daughter (or their ADOPTED daughter!) That their adopted right before she leaves to live in a stranger’s (Who isn’t actually her uncle!) house! Whatever. I sighed and looked at Lolita and then started to take in my surroundings. The Limo was very fancy with long black leather seats and I had my own private compartment, which I liked. Lolita was on my lap and I wondered what was out ahead of us. I didn’t know anything about the information I would soon find out.
