MR.JANG's POV

As I left her room with an excuse, I went straight to Dr. Mike's cabin.

ME : So, is she never gonna get her memory back? She doesn't remember anything from the past 2 years.

I had a clear picture of the morning she mentioned earlier. After that particular day we, although continued to live under the same roof, never dined together until she tied knots with Taehyung and moved out.

Dr.MIKE : See, we cannot say anything for certain. We will just have to try and test a few things that might help. Her losing the information of two years is a brain mechanism to protect itself from a hurtful memory or a trauma that might've taken place around that time.

Probably having me with no words, the doctor spoke up again to help me around the diagnosis.

Dr.MIKE : So, do you recall any such  happenings with her?

I gave it a thought trying to remember if anything, according to him, had happened in her life.

Dr. MIKE : Like anything, anyone cheated on her or any misfortunes that had affected her like a trauma?

One thought did strike in my mind but I cancelled it out feeling it too trivial a matter to be traumatized about. I listened attentively as he continued further.

Dr. MIKE : Medically speaking, all her symptoms and reports directs her condition to be a Dissociative amnesia.

Although, his medical terminologies had no toning with my understanding. I had a rough knowledge on amnesia since the Korean doctor mentioned it too.

ME : The doctor in Korea said something about Post-traumatic amnesia. Are they the same thing?

Dr.MIKE : Oh no, they are not. Although, we did fear the same in her case. Watching her synchronized with her actions and words, there's no particular signs of Post-traumatic amnesia. Her's is related to a particular time from the past that she doesn't recall. Namely, Dissociative.

ME : Oh, I see.

Dr. MIKE : And fortunately is pointing towards the greater probability of reversing it.

ME : You are saying, it is possible to revive her memory?

Dr. MIKE : Not guaranteed, but yes, a possibility. As for that, she has to be constantly around familiar people and places from these years. In short, recreating the situations and incidents might actually help her.

Which I certainly didn't want till I got her patrimony on my hands. Although I knew it would cost me a few more years and hard work to castle her from being exposed to her memories, I was ready to take it through the end.

ME : Thanks for your time, Doctor. (-leaves with a smile-)

Exiting his cabin, only one thought repeated like a prayer verse in my mind- she can't get her memories back.

Everything, from executing my plan to manipulating the people involved, went smoother than expected. Her memory loss of those 2 years was just a golden opportunity for me to never get her cross paths with Taehyung.

Truth to be told, when she was brought to the hospital in Korea, Doctors had knowledged me about her potential amnesia. Basing on that sole fact, I took the risk to set them apart and it came out fruitful.

A sense of relief rushed down my spine as the plan-B didn't require its commencement which was alot more severe and inhumane.
The plan to trigger her psyche by medicating her with excess drugs, making her lose connection with reality- perhaps transpiring her into a psychiatric patient, a shamefully common medical condition in every other household in today's competition.
