"And that's how it ended," you finished. Akira just stared at you in disbelief.

You had finished explaining the strange dream he had been in. Knowing it couldn't have been real, you smiled, waiting for him to dismiss the idea.

But he didn't. Instead, he looked thoughtful as he held his chin with one hand. The cat poked out of his bag and meowed, tilting its head at him.

Akira seemed to mumble something while looking at his cat, but you couldn't hear what he had said.

"What was that?" You asked.

"Ah, nothing. Just talking to myself." He crossed his arms with a smile. "That's a seriously weird dream that you had."

"I know right?" Your heart dropped a little bit with the realization that the dream wasn't real, but you knew you were crazy for thinking it was even possible that it was real.

I'm going insane. I should just be glad it wasn't the usual nightmare.

You quickly laughed it off and changed the subject, turning your head to look at Akira's cat who seemed to constantly be attached to him. "By the way, what's your cat's name?"

"Oh, his name is Morgana," Akira answered. Morgana meowed at you and you reached your hand over to pet him. His fur was soft and pleasing touch. Patting his head repeatedly proved to be soothing, to the point where you almost forgot about the weird dream.

"He's so cute!" You grinned as he rubbed his head against your hand, purring.

"Pft, don't you hate it when people pet you, Morgana? You're so full of it." Akira laughed as Morgana seemed to give him an angry look. Can cats even look angry? I guess Morgana can.

"Junya Kaneshiro, the recent target of the Phantom Thieves, has admitted to controlling a branch of the mafia, and confessed all of his crimes just this morning!" A newscaster excitedly reported. You turned to look at the train's TV, Akira followed your actions. "Among other things, he appears to have been behind the recent Shibuya scams of high school students. This discovery should lead to the arrest of multiple other criminals."

Your face darkened, opposite from your previous laughter. Akira looked at you with surprise. "Not a fan of the Phantom Thieves?"

You shrugged, your perpetual scowl unchanging. "Something like that."

The school day seemed to drag on forever as you waited for the afternoon to arrive. You took notes, answered questions, read textbook pages, and analyzed excerpts. All the while, adding more and more homework to your agenda. Class after class passed until the bell finally rang, marking the end of the school day.

You packed your things into your bag, sitting on your desk as you waited for Ryuji to get up. Except he didn't. He sat in the same spot for several seconds before you realized what was going on.

"Sakamoto? Are you asleep?" You snapped your fingers next to his face. "Wake the hell up."

He slowly opened his eyes, looking around before registering that school was over. "Shit, how long was I out for?"

You rolled your eyes. "You make it sound like it was my job to keep track of that."

"Whatever," he sighed. "Where are we going to work."

"The library was too crowded when I went to check out research materials, so that's not an option," you explained.

"It has to be at one of our houses, then. We can't go to my place."

"Why not?" You asked.

"We just can't." His voice was firm, and it seemed like he didn't want to talk about it. You decided not to pry.

"Let's go to my place then." You lifted your bag onto your shoulder and began to walk to the door of the classroom. You looked back to see that Ryuji wasn't following you.

"What's up?" You turned around to face him again.

He looked surprised. "Are you sure you want to do it at your house?"

You raised an eyebrow. "You're the one who suggested it. And where the hell else would we do the project?"

"I guess." He scratched the back of his neck in embarassment, you could see a slight tinge of pink on his cheeks.

He's so cute.

"What did you say?" Ryuji looked closer at you.

"Ah, nothing!" You dismissed him, matching his blush with one of your own. Did I seriously say that out loud?!
