What a fight, huh? Well, things were luckily much better the next day, as everyone was glad to get some time just them and their best friend. So that whole "It's your fault!" thing was basically forgotten, and they now saw how silly they had been.
Adventure Beach was alive with the sounds of laughter and chatter echoing throughout the place. All over you could see people having a picnic, swimming and overall just having a really great time, unless they were Mayor Humdinger. The Paw Patrol and their friends were especially glad to get a long break from rehearsals before they had to go rehearse later that day. But rehearsals were of the furthest things from their minds as they focused on spending time with their best friends.
Mayor Goodway and Chickeletta were on a lounge chair. The mayor sipped lemonade and looked at a magazine with her pet chicken by her side as she raved about all the latest fashions.
Farmer Yumi and Farmer Al were walking by the shore hand-in-hand, telling stories and laughing as they enjoyed each other's sweet company. Every dating couple in town wanted to have their strong marriage.
Mr. Porter and Alex were flying kites on a small cliff, awed at how high the kites were going.
Chase and Zuma were surfing, trying out a bigger wave every few minutes.
Jake, Carlos, Everest, Skye and Tracker had played volleyball for a while until Skye and Everest split off to go find seashells and other beach treasures together, so Jake, Carlos and Tracker decided to just hang out and talk and maybe they'd play another volleyball game later with everybody in one big game. Teams and everything.
Julius and Justina were trying to do cart-wheels and other tricks on the sand and Raimundo soon came over, impressed at their skills. They began to ask him many questions about the circus and acrobats and he was happy to answer them.
Ryder and Marshall were building a sand castle in their Sea Patrol outfits. Ryder had thought it a good idea to have himself and Marshall be on duty. Might as well, since they were at the beach. So if anything happened, they'd be prepared.
Katie was splashing around in the water, trying to persuade Cali to come in with her. Cali was like Rocky in the sense where she absolutely hated being near water, so naturally she didn't budge. Katie smirked, knowing what to do. She deliberately splashed Cali. At that the cat was already splashing back in revenge and soon they were having a lot of fun messing with each other; Katie laughing and shouting that her hair was all wet.
Cap'n Turbot and Francois were sailing around in the Flounder, whale-watching, with Wally swimming right by them.
Rocky was laying around, feeling quite lonesome. He looked around at everybody else, who all seemed to be having such a great time with whomever they were with. But he didn't wanna intrude on anyone's bonding-time with their BFF and he certainly didn't wanna do anything that involved water. So he lay on the sand, tossing a sea-shell around in a bored manner(before Skye and Everest cheerfully came and took it away), until Rubble came along and asked if he wanted to go build a big sand slide to play on, and afterwards eat some food. Rocky was delighted and soon the two were off to go play.
Everything was just perfect. Adventure Bay was extra sunnier today, and there wasn't a single doubt about it, Ryder thought.
He and his dalmation patted down on the sand as they were building a large castle, and the boy blushed whenever his hands and Marshall's paws touched. He couldn't keep his eyes off his pup and even turned it into a little game; counting for each time Marshall smiled, or blinked, or laughed as they talked.
Marshall giggled at a joke Ryder said.
"17." Counted Ryder in his head.
Marshall blinked.
"89..." Ryder started to daze.
"Ryder?"
"Huh?"
"Is something the matter?"
"No. Why? I'm having a great time."
"Ok."
"..Are you?" Asked Ryder, a bit worriedly.
"Of course I am. This castle turned out sweet."
"There's only one more thing it needs. Well, two more things."
"What's that?"
"Flags." Said Ryder, pulling out two miniature flags from his pocket. One had Marshall's Pup-tag logo on it, and the other had the Paw Patrol logo on it.
They placed the two flags on the tallest towers and smiled at their creation.
"It's a masterpiece." Said Marshall.
"Beyond that." Agreed Ryder. "Ready to go hit the waves on the speeder?"
"Sure I guess..." Answered Marshall.
Marshall was looking off into the distance. Ryder would have noticed right away, if he hadn't been preoccupied with daydreaming about the pup, and looking down at him sweetly.
