Your POV

"So, Ms. (L/N), you've disappeared for quite a while." said Principal Hunters as she sat down on her seat.
"Y-yeah." I stuttered. I've never been to the principal's office before, and nervousness filled up my system as Principal Hunters looked at her.
"Take a seat." Principal Hunters said firmly. "This'll be on for a while."
I sighed and sat. I looked around the office.
Many certificates were hung on the wall, photos of teachers and former principals, and inside one cabinet were two crowns.

That must be for the prom—WAIT. IT'S PROM IN A MONTH.

"(Y/N)." Principal Hunters called out.
"Y-yes. Sorry ma'am." I apologised.
"Ok look, (Y/N). You've got a 3- month worth backlog. I know what happened, and I'm very sorry." Principal Hunters said.
I sighed.
Jake must've told her.
"I'm very sorry, ma'am. I just thought—"
"What'll you do about your backlog?" Principal Huntets asked, cutting me off.
I folded my arms and slid down my seat.
"Hm?" she hummed.
"After.....school classes?" I suggested.
"Hmmm. We can, but that'll cost." Principal Hunters answered. "And I heard you aren't working anymore?"
"Oh—right." I said, facepalming. "Look, ma'am, I'll think how I can solve this. Give me a day, please." I sighed.
"Fine." she said. "Are you alright?"
I sighed once more. "Y-yeah." I replied.
"(Y/N), what you experienced was pretty devastating for me. I'm really sorry. Do you need a life coach? Do you want me to call Jake, Keith, and Fauna? Your parents?—"

Hearing those names.....

"No!" I shouted, covering my head.
It then became silent.
Tears begun streaming down my eyes.

Those names....And Jake.

More and more tears followed. I felt my chest tightening.

"No, no, no, no, no, no..." I rambled under my breath.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder.
"(Y/N), please."
I brushed the hand off my shoulder.
"I don't want to see any of them." I muttered.
"But they miss you!" Principal Hunters said.
"I-I-I don't care." I stuttered, trying to hold back my ugly sobbing.
Principal Hunters sighed. "You can go." she said.
I lifted up my face and saw her holding a box of tissues.
I took some pulls and wiped the tears.
Before Principal Hunters could say anything else, I stormed out of the room, only to see—

"Jake." I said, surprised.
He smiled. I smiled. We hugged.
"I missed you, sister." he said.
"Me too, bro." I said back.
We broke our hugs and looked at each other.
"So how's it been?" Jake asked so casually.
"Wow, ok. You're asking that." I said sarcastically.
"What? What was I supposed to say?" he said, nudging my shoulder.
"Uh, I don't know." I chuckled. "It's been fine. You?"
"Oh, uhh." Jake trailed off, scratching his head.
"It's been..very different at home."
"I was asking about you, not....the house." I frowned.
"Oh, uh, sorry." he smiled dorkishly. "I'm fine, too. I guess."
I was struck. Never heard that before.
"You guess?" I asked.
"Like I said, it's been different at home." Jake repeated. "Bad different."
I tucked my lips together.
"Are you sure you really wanted to leave?" Jake asked.
"What exactly is going on?" I asked in an annoyed tone.
"Well, uh—"

RINNGGGGGGGGGG

"Oh." Jake said.
I looked at the clock.
"(Y/N)! How was it?" Veronica asked, running to me. Lou and Kyanna followed.
"I, uh, I'll tell you in recess. What's our class?" I asked, looking at Lou.
She was looking at the ground, unhappy.

Come to think of it, Lou hasn't spoken to me at all today.

"Math!" Kyanna answered enthusiastically.
"God, K, why do you love math?" Veronica groaned. "Math stands for Mental Abuse To Humans."
All of us laughed—well, all except Lou.
"Ok, ok, ok! Let's go guys! We can't be late." Kyanna said.
"Alright, see you girls later." Jake bid.
"We're not finished here. You owe me an explanation later." I scoffed, glaring at Jake.
I couldn't stand looking mad, so a smile crept up my face. "See ya, bro!"

Lou's POV

(Y/N).....
Her being a lesbian...really changed my perspective on her. I mean, (Y/N) looks pretty hot anyways—

No!
I can't like her!
Who was that girl who brought her to school?
They're probably a thing.
Plus, I can't have feelings for (Y/N)! We can only be best friends. It never even looked, even at the least bit, like she had feelings for me.

I hope I can fight this off.

"Lou? You ok?" she said.
I looked at her.
"I'm fine, (Y/N)." I shrugged.
"You sure, L? You're unsually quiet." Veronica added. "You were just fine yesterday."
"I said I'm fine." I repeated, finger-combing my hair. "I just didn't have a good sleep is all."
"Bad dream?" Kyanna asked.
"Wh–no! Just slept late 'cause I was doing sone stuff." I lied.
"Oh, ok." (Y/N) said.

I should talk to (Y/N) about how I'm feeling.
Conflicted.

"(Y/N)." I called.
"Yeah?" she said.
"I need to tell you something. In private. Later?" I whispered so that Kyanna and Veronica don't hear.
"Oh, ok." (Y/N) nodded.

We then arrived in the math classroom, just in time.
"Y'know, I think the only reason I like math is because it's the only class all four of us are together in." Veronica commented as she walked in the classroom.
"Veronica." Mr. Will greeted.
"Hi, Mr. W." Veronica greeted back with her voice sounding smaller.
"Oh, and look who it is!" Mr. Will exclaimed.
"(Y/N), you've got a lot of catching up to do."
"I know." she sighed, sitting down.

I sat down and got my doodling notebook.
The class and boredom then begun.
