Chapter 3 "One way or another."

Jessica POV

I could see Gerard approaching Mikey and I. He's probably come to talk to Mikey so as he stands my the table I stand up and try to walk to put my tray away but his arm pulled me back. I almost dropped my tray as the movement drew me backwards.

"I know you were thinking I came over here to talk to Mikey but I came here to ask you to come round to mine after the library session is over," Gerard's voice was cool and swift. A hint in his eye as he pulled me gently to face him.

"But my parents will only let me stay out till 10 if I'm not at a sleepover," I mumble trying not to stutter, some eyes have drifted to Gerard and I. Probably because it was so weird for a popular to ask out the school loser. 

"Then stay the night, I'm sure there are many things we could do," He then winked and kissed me. It was a proper kiss! But I don't get it, he was so rude to me at least half an hour ago and now he's kissing me.

He pulls away, leaving me stand there shocked. Gasps have erupted in the hall, I could see Carly's face drop.

"I would like everyone to know that I have just marked Jessica! So no one is to ask her out or make a move on her!" Gerard shouted through the whispers and took the tray out of my hand. The tray was placed next to Mikey's. He then threw his arm around mine and forced me to walk out of the hall with him.

I was too frozen to move out of his grip, his shoulder was very firm anyway.

"We have Geography together right?" He asks casusally as if nothing just happened.

"Were you just in the lunch hall or are you not Gerard Way?" I ask boldly but soon sunk back into my stuttering mode.

"Gerard Way is right here thank you very much. Gerard Way just wanted a nice way to talk to a very beautiful girl," His nose scrunched up and he nuzzled it into my hair as if we had been together forever. My chheks were tempting to blush but couldn't because this is Gerard Way! The school player!

"Why are y-you being s-so nice to me?" I look into his eyes as a bit of guilt dashed across his face but was soon recovered with his signiture smile.

"I just saw you and got fed up with pretending that I didn't ache to kiss you. You're just so gorgeous," Gerard's eyes looked real and fake at the same time. It's like he was speaking the truth but being here with me was a lie. He's a confusing cookie.

"You're n-normally ignoring me or calling me nerd," I say and bite my lip. I slowly remove his arm as he opens his mouth to speak.

"That was then, this is now," He says and puts his arm around my waist, instead of my shoulder. He then looks at his watch and looks back at me,"I have to go talk to Billie. See you in Geography."

He kisses my cheek and walks away to Billie, who's hair was creeping out at the end of the hallway.

I shake the thought of Gerard out of my mind and walk to my locker which was the opposite way. I look back to see Gerard and Billie watching me walk away. As soon as my eyes met theirs I whipped my head around. My hair smacking my face in the progress. I say Phil walking out of the classroom, Phil and I were actually good friends. His friend Dan was good friends with me as well. 

I wave to Phil as he engulfs me in a hug and lifts me up,"I haven't seen you since the first nintendo game came out!"

I giggle and whack him,"Put me down you loser!"

I then see Dan walk out of the same classroom laughing at us,"Oh great! I have two british people surrounding me!"

They roll their eyes at my joke and give a small laugh, Phil finally placed me down on the floor and Gerard's familiar shout was heard down the hall,"HEY! GET OFF HER!"

I whipped my head around to see Gerard and Billie jogging down the hallway,"Get any closer to her and I will end you British boy."

Gerard's eyes were dark and menacing but instead of Phil stepping closer to me, I stepped closer to him,"Go away."

I said this braver than anticipated, Gerard took a step back as my eyes darkned,"You did not mark me. I go out with you if I want to. Phil is my friend, not my boyfriend. And I find his accent adorable so don't call him British Boy."

Billie's face grew a smirk, while Gerard's face fell,"I will get you, Jess. One way or another." He turned away hot on his heel, Billie lingered for a bit though.

"You still going to the library after school?" He asks quietly through his smile,"Wouldn't want to miss round 2."

I nod and turn to Phil who had stepped a lot closer to me, Dan on the other side,"Great. I'll be going then."

Billie walks away after he says that leaving me with Phil and Dan,"Do you want Phil and I to go all ninja and spy on you in library?" 

I laugh as he says that and nod,"Oh yeah! Phil and Dan ninja's of the school!"

They hi-5, sending me to laugh,"I heard we are doing group work in Geography, wanna be in our group, Jess?"

"Yeah sure, if Gerard doesn't get there first, he's confusing me."

I rub my head and Phil says,"I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I watched the third matrix movie."

I laugh and put my arms around both of their necks,"To Georgraphy!" Dan yells.
