Ruby Redfort, a fourteen- year old, intelligent, funny teenager and secret agent, sat on the bench under the tree on Amster Green, pondering on what had been happening. Her friends now knew that she was a secret agent, Hitch was in hospital and LB had an evil sister called Clarice, the Count was still alive and on the run, and her life in danger.
She looked up and in the distance saw a face she treasured so much, Clancy Crew. He walked up to her.
"Hey, Rube..."
"Hey..." she whispered.
"Come on Rube, what happened was not your fault. You know that don't you? You do, tell me you do?" Ruby remained silent and spoke after a few seconds.
"How do you know, because of me you all were in danger..." but got cut off.
"No. Not because of you, but because of evil Rube. Evil. It surrounds us Ruby Redfort and you now as well as I do that you are not evil. Now come on, let's visit Hitch, he's in hospital but his conditions are better. You should be happy!" he took her hand and pulled her up. At once she felt relieved, even if she herself thought she was bad, Clancy would never, he always seemed to know how to make her feel better. They walked together chatting happily.
It was time for a new start, and nothing would ruin it for her, she would REACH FOR THE TOP...
