I was screaming, I had been for some time. My throat was raw as Ford's latest round of 'shock therapy' stopped and he sagged, his breathing erratic. "Ready to talk now?" Bill asked tauntingly.

"Please stop hurting him. Please." I sobbed out, tears still rolling down my cheeks as I sat powerless against the wall. Ford was gasping for air now, any hair around his neck had been singed away.

"I won't. I won't let you into my mind." Bill turned to his friends.

"What do you think, pals? Another 500 volts?" A whine escaped me, all I could muster before Bill said, "Hey, do you hear that?" and a T-Rex came crashing through the wall, roaring at him. "What?! I just fixed that door!" The Mystery Shack came into view with Soos standing on the porch.

"It's the Shacktron, dude!" He yelled, holding a flag topped with Wax Larry King's head.

"They made the house into a robot. Fascinating!"

"So, the mortals are trying to fight back, huh? Adorable! Henchmaniacs, you know what to do! Take them out!" My heart picked up speed as Bill's minions jumped out of the Fearamid. My chains evaporated as Bill focused his attention on his losing posse, getting progressively angrier. "Guys, seriously? You had, like, one job to do here." Ford cheered.

"Bravo, Dipper and Mabel!" Bill stopped, turning towards him. "Well, would you look at that. Those kids really care about you. And you care about them." His eye turned red. "Don't you?" Realization hit me like a rock, he was going to hurt my great-niece and nephew.

"What are you....Oh. Oh no." Seems Ford realized as well. "Perhaps torturing those kids'll make you talk." "No. No! Not the kids! You ca-" He was cut off, turning to gold once more, his terror frozen in his face.

I had had it. pushed myself off my knees, willing strength into my failing legs as I pulled a small throwing knife from my belt loop. I stumbled toward Bill, prepared to strike, just as he was ready to attack my kids. "HEY, BILL!" I yelled. As he turned, I aimed for his eye and threw the knife faster than he could react. Just as it looked like I was going to land a hit, the knife stopped dead. He scowled, the sharp blade clattering to the floor. "What a good try! Too bad you CAN'T TOUCH ME!" He began to circle me, a predator hunting his prey. "You can't hurt me either. But that doesn't mean I can't hurt you!" He moved toward the knife, twirling it between his fingers. I was lifted from the ground, encased in a blue light, the knife floating inches from my exposed throat. I closed my eyes, accepting that, if I was going to die, I was going to die knowing I brought the kids a few more minutes.

There was a clatter and I hit the ground moments later with a thud, the back of my head smacking hard against the stone. "Listen. I'll deal with you later; I've got bigger fish to fry. Not like you're much of a threat anyways." He said with a chuckle, my vision beginning to fade once more. I fought to stay awake to see Bill crawl out of the Fearamid before I was out.
