I was walking outside to my friend's house when suddenly my phone buzzed.

Em❤️:

heyyyy, I invited my guy friends... maybe you'll be interested in them, unlike the others? 😏

I roll my eyes.

And of course, she had to invite another 2 guy-friends from her college so they can be my potential soulmate. I had told her repeatedly that I don't want to see anyone from that school except her, but of course she didn't listen.

Did I mention I never had a boyfriend? Well, I have never met the right guy, so Emma is trying to help me somehow.

I walked opened the gate to her front yard and walked up the stairs to her entranceway.

"Y/N!" She smiles. "Come in, come in. The guys are coming soon for dinner!" Emma's beautiful blue eyes shone, paired with her dirty blonde hair. How can someone like Emma be my friend. I look like a trash bag next to her.

I hug her tightly for a second, and smile. She has been with me for years, helping me overcome my anxiety and depression. I'm thankful for her.

"Thanks." I pull away from the hug, and smile at her. She then looks at my outfit, and giggles a bit. I was wearing a loose white crop top with dark blue jeans, while she had a casual scarlet dress down to her knees. I shrug.

"It's not like it's a fancy, high class restaurant." I joke, and Emma smirks.

"Or is it?" She quickly runs into her house, and runs upstairs.

Well, there she goes.

I invite myself to her neatly-decorated living room, and sat on her white couch. I shrug and take my phone out, plugging in my headphones. Scrolling through songs, I finally decided to play I'm Fine by BTS.

About 10 minutes later, Emma came storming down the stairs with a big smile plastered to her face. I roll my eyes and take my earbuds out. My eyes travel to what she was holding- a navy blue, long sleeved dress.

"Emma... I don't like to wear-" I start to say, but she then throws the dress at me and smiles. I sigh and go in the bathroom to change.

"Fine."

I sigh and look at myself in the mirror

I sigh and look at myself in the mirror. I'm just an ordinary girl. There's nothing special about me. I quickly put on a gold necklace and fix my hair. I had dyed my hair a lighter shade of brown, and my hair went past my shoulders. Many people say that I looked like my mother when I was little. My family is from Korea, but they moved to America when I was little. My father isn't Korean, but he somehow fell in love with my mother when he was on a business trip 21 years ago in South Korea. I haven't been there since I was 3.
