We arrived home and Calum bounced around the house looking for his mum. I was hoping that when he asked to go to the party that he didn't just come out and say, "hey mum, Winny and I want to go to a party with alcohol and stuff," Calum was just that innocent.
"Cal," I whispered, he stopped his bouncing and got closer so he could hear me, "let me do the asking or we will never get to crash that party," I whispered. He nodded in agreement and plopped down on the couch.
"Joy!" I shouted through the house.
"Up here," she shouted from the top of the stairs. I walked up to see Joy filling the linen cabinet.
"Cal and I are gonna travel the city with Ashton and Michael, What is the latest you want us back?" Joy bit her bottom lip, Cal had never asked to go out before so maybe they were going to do teenager things, she thought. That should be good for Cal.
"12:30," she smiled, nodding her head, agreeing with herself.
"Okay! See you later then," I said running down the stairs and grabbing Cal's arm on the way out the door.
"This should be fun," Calum nodded. I smiled at him, but I had more important things to get out of the way.
"Calum if anyone starts hurting you, harassing you or anything I'm the form of bullying, call or look for me and we will leave," I said gripping his shoulders so he would understand.
His head hesitated before slowly nodding.
"Cal, I just don't want you getting hurt," I sighed. Then his eyes shot up to mine.
"Remember when you said no sympathy? Well same rule here, I can handle it. I'm still here aren't I?" He said motioning at his body.
"Okay Cal, but still. You do what I said," he nodded again. Our conversation soon changed to school and how we were going to be starting in a week.
Our conversation quickly faded out when we saw Ashton's Impala pull up out front. Michael got out of the back seat and walked up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around his neck and took in his smell.
He chuckled, "Did you just smell me?" I began to blush but stopped myself.
"Yup, you smell like mint and it's my favorite smell ever," I smiled widely at him. He chuckled again and pulled me in for another hug.
"Come on lovebirds! We have a party to crash," Ashton shouted from the drivers seat. We both laughed and climbed into the back seat.
I think it took us about five minutes to get there considering he lived down the street from Calum. I took a deep breath and got out of the car.
Tonight I was going to figure out who this Luke Hemmings was, and why he was such a jerk. Calum had told me earlier that Luke was one of his bullies, so I might even bring that up.
I walked up the side walk with Michael, I had my head down so I didn't see the body that I ran into.
I frantically began to apologize, until I looked up and say it was Luke.
"Oh it's you," I spat, but he just smirked.
"Who's this?" Luke asked gesturing to Michael.
"That's my boyfriend," I said smugly, and again he surprised me and pointed to our interlaced hands.
"No, really?," he asked sarcastically, "I want to know his name," he chuckled.
"Michael," I scowled, looking at him his face dropped when he saw Calum coming up behind me.
