"Lynxmoon I've been looking for you all day," Rosepaw shouts from under the tree. "Atleast you could get down."

"Come and get me," I tease leaping up to a higher branch and look down at her again. She glared at me, "Just please come down." I jump to a higher branch which wobbles under me. I sink my claws into the branch steading myself. Rosepaw claws her way up the tree leaping from branch to branch. Before I know it she is a few tail lenghts under me. I carefully make my way up the next branch looking back at her. "This isnt funny," Rosepaw snaps only two branches away from me.

"Fine, lets go back," I give in. "Good," Rosepaw sighs. Once on solid ground we hear a scream in the distance.  "Its Greenpetal!" Rosepaw gasps racing towards the direction of the scream. Im close behind her, my eyes alert for any sign of danger.

"Greenpetal whats wrong?!" I yowl as we catch sight of her. Duskmoon, our medicine cat crouches beside her. Warheart is by Greenpetal's other side, whispering comforting words into her ear. The queen gives out another ear splitting scream. "She is having her kits" Duskmoon explains calmly looking up from GreenPetal.

"Is there anything we can do?" Rosepaw asks her voice filled with fear and sarrow. Rosepaw's mother, Leopardear died giving birth to Rosekit and her only littermate Sunkit. Sunkit was born very frail and hardly ever nursed from Greenpetal, their adopted mother. Two sunrises after birth Sunkit died, sadly Rosepaw never remembered her little brother or her mother.

Tigerpaw, Duskmoon's apprentice rushes over to her mentor, two warriors following her. "I brought a few helping paws," She explains. "Smart thinking Tigerpaw," Duskmoon nods in appreciation. Tigerpaw places a few herbs next to Greenpetal. She murmurs a few words to her and the green laps them up before letting out a cry of pain. Before I know it a bundle of sticky fur in a sac slides out of her lower area. Duskmoon nips the sac open and removes it gently. "A kit!" I gasp silently.

Warheart moves towards the kit and starts to grooms its fur the other way. Greenpetal places her head down to exhausted to move. Imagine if you where a rogue doing this all by yourself. How would you fend off enemies or even hunt? I question myself.

"Greenpetal you can't fall asleep, come on," Tigerpaw prods her. Another cry and a second kit is born. Duskmoon removes the sack once more and nods towards one of the warriors. "Oakcloud could you clean this one off?" She mews at the light brown shecat with golden eyes. "Of course," she response grooming the kit's fur the other way to warm it up.

Once the kits are dry Duskmoon inspects them closely. "Two healthy shekits," She proudly mews. Rosepaw and I pick each of the kits and set them down by their mother's belly. Rosepaw looks relieved. She laps at Greenpetal's ear, purring gently.

"What will you name them?" She mews to Greenpetal. "The darker one I'll name Silverkit," Greenpetal mews "and this one Eclipsekit." She purrs as Eclipsekit gives out a cry. "We should bring them to camp," Duskmoon declares. Lynxmoon and Rosepaw could you each carry a kit? Carefully," Duskmoon adds. Rosepaw and I nod picking up each kit by their scruff.  Rosepaw carries Eclipsekit and I carry Silverkit. Greenpetal is close behind us flanked by the Oakcloud and the other warrior named Azureclaw. Tigerpaw is next to her mentor talking quietly. We arrive at camp safely, quickly bringing Greenpetal and her kits to the nursery.
