Francis whined and looked up at Arthur, who was sitting on the couch.

     "What?" Arthur tilted his head.

"Up! Up!" The Frenchman stretched his arms out towards Arthur.

Arthur sighed and pulled Francis onto his lap. "Are you happy now?"

Francis nodded and cuddled into Arthur, causing the English nation to blush.

"Wh- what's with you being all cuddly today?"

     "Love you."

Arthur's face became redder. "I- um- yeah...."

Francis looked up at Arthur. His lips briefly connected with the Englishman's as he quickly kissed him.

Arthur became a tomato. He avoided Francis' gaze, grumbling quietly to himself. His arms folded across his chest defensively.

Francis grabbed Arthur's arms and unfolded them, curling them around himself instead. He looked up at Arthur with pleading blue eyes that sparkled in the light of the sunset, peeking through the windows.

Arthur looked at Francis and felt his heart stop. He never wanted him to ever leave. His blond hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, showing more of his beautiful face. Stubble lined chin and delicate eyelashes that batted lightly without a care in the world. The sparkling sapphires the Frenchman called eyes gazed up at him with such complete and utter love that Arthur knew there could be no one else in the world as amazing as his Frenchie.

Francis' eyes fluttered shut and he rested his head on Arthur's chest. "Art...?"

     "Hmm?"

     "You... love me?"

"I- I- I-...." Arthur took a slow and deep breath. "Yes of course."

     "Say...?"

     "Wh- what...?!"

     "Say."

     "Alright... Francis I-"

"No." Francis lifted his head and looked at Arthur. "Say."

Arthur shakily breathed out. "France.... France, I love you. I've loved you since forever. And I will continue to love you, no matter what."

Francis grinned. Little did Arthur know, that was the last time he would see his Frenchman smile for a long time.
